Their gluten free menu isn't huge, but it has a few main dishes besides pizza and a decent selection of sides. I had chicken with rice and vegetables and it was pretty good, albeit not gourmet. My kids (non-GF) loved their make your own pizza.

I got the grilled chicken on the barbie and a baked potato and had no issues. Just be sure to remind them not to add croutons if you're ordering a salad.

GF items clearly marked. I had the Prime Rib, mashed sweet potatoes and salad bar and had no issues. The salad bar is mostly GF, but you do have to watch out for dropped croutons at the end by the toppings. You can order a salad from the kitchen if you're not comfortable. The restaurant is huge, so don't get discouraged if the parking lot looks full.

  • Polly's Pancake Parlor

    5 starsAugust 20, 2015

    672 Rte 117, Sugar Hill, NH 03586

2014: The best GF pancakes and they have a separate section of the grill for them. Polly's is a must-visit place if you're going to be near Franconia Notch State Park. 2015: Polly's has re-opened in their new building and I went back in Summer 2015. Their new building isn't quite as quaint, but the pancakes are just as good and they were very careful about GF.

2014: The Common Man has a gluten free menu with a lot of selections. I had a farm truck salad and roast chicken and it was all delicious. Please note that the GF menu on their website is a little out of date, but there are lots of choices. The non-GF members of the group were also very happy. 2015: I went back twice in Summer 2015 and had a great experience both times. The Pot Roast is gluten free, including the gravy and was delicious! Highly recommended!

I had a good experience, apart from a long wait to be seated. They have a good sized GF menu and I had the duck, which was very tasty. The rest of my group (non-GF) was also satisfied. The good is that the waitress informed me that their vinaigrette has beer in it and brought me oil and vinegar. The bad is that the first salad she brought had croutons. She replaced it with no issues and the new salad was obviously fresh (didn't have the croutons picked out), so that was a relatively minor mix-up. As usual, you always should be cautious! In spite of that, I'd recommend this place. If anyone from the restaurant is reading this, it would be nice to offer gluten free bread for those who order from the GF menu. Thanks.

  • Log Jam Restaurant

    5 starsAugust 23, 2014

    1484 U.S. 9, Lake George, NY 12845

I've eaten at the Log Jam multiple times with no issues, having tried duck, steak and fish of the day. The menu has many items marked as GF and the staff seems to be knowledgeable. Their salad bar has croutons all the way at the end which helps minimize cross contamination.

No GF menu, but they're very accommodating. I had a broiled halibut with baked potato. Nice atmosphere, but not overly fancy.

Had a great omelette with potatoes and gluten free toast. The service was a little slow, so I'd recommend going if you're not in a huge rush.

I've eaten here a few times with no problems -- getting the chicken on the barbie and the steak with baked potato. You just need to be careful and make sure to ask for your salad with no croutons and mixed separately to avoid cross contamination.

I've been there a few times, but can't comment on the GF pizza as I've only gotten the herb rubbed chicken with roasted vegetables and brown rice. It's not gourmet, but tastes good and I had no reaction. It's also reasonably priced and the service has been good. My kids love their non-GF make your own pizzas.

This sports bar was family friendly and reasonably priced. The GF chicken tenders were crispy and delicious -- and my gluten eating family also liked them a lot. For my main course I had a steak with fries. Recommended if you're in the Queensbury/Lake George area and aren't looking for anything too fancy.
