I used to eat here beforehand diagnosis and thought it was pretty good. Since having Celiac, I've eaten here a few times, and it's really nothing special or exciting. The wait staff seem to have a very general knowledge of gluten allergies, so I would be careful. I haven't ventures to the salad bar for fear of cross-continuation, so I've played it "safe" with plain chicken breast and a baked potato... But how can you really mess that up when the customer grills the meat himself?1

I had a pleasant experience here. There isn't a huge variety for the GF menu, but I tried the fish tacos, and they were excellent. I ordered at the bar, and the waiter/bartender was very knowledgeable, so I was able to enjoy an entire entree and a margarita with no reaction (digestive or dermatitis herpetiformis). I have already recommended that my best friend, who is also GF, give it a try.

I knew P.F. Chang's was supposed to have a trustworthy gluten free menu, so I made it my first place to dine out after being diagnosed with Celiac and being GF for three months. My best friend also has a severe gluten allergy that causes dermatitis herpetiformis, so we went together. We ordered GF and thought our waitress was just a bit spacey, but she must have had no clue what was going on. We both ordered different GF dishes and shared so we each got half. We finished it all because we felt confident it was truly gluten free. We were sadly mistaken because within 24 hours I was at the doctor's office with what I was sure was food poisoning followed by a week of fatigue, brain fog, and horrendous stomach cramps and all that go with that. At the same time, she was visiting family on the mainland and had to go to the ER for severe blisters on her mouth and fingers. I know P.F. Chang's is supposed to be very trustworthy, but if you have an allergy and visit this location, please make sure you talk to a manager to confirm the severity of the situation so this doesn't happen to you. I won't take a chance at this location again... Ever.
