Stopped by here when staying on Mackinac Island, MI for a conference. I had the classic hamburger on a gluten free bun with sweet potato fries. This is a small place, so I opted to sit at the bar. The barkeeper was knowledgeable about GF issues and noted that the sweet potato fries are made in a dedicated fryer. Celiacs should ask questions, however. The burger was tasty, as was the GF bun, which looked and tasted like a regular bun. The sign for the restaurant is located one story up and is not easy to see. The sign/logo is also on the window.

All but a few dishes (2-3) on this Persian restaurant's menu are gluten free. The waitress immediately recognized that our party was GF because of t-shirts worn. The food was delicious and cooked in a timely manner for a Saturday afternoon.

This is Fresh Thyme's first Michigan store. It carries a lot of GF options -- fresh and frozen. It has an entire refrigerated case devoted to GF options and also carries GF products throughout the store, including a large selection of Bob's Red Mill products. It carries many Boarshead "Natural" meat products -- their top of the line when it comes to not containing gluten, preservatives and other problem ingredients. Many GF alcohol products.

Culver's now carries Udi's buns and has an allergen list on its website. The bun comes sealed in its own package. The charge for the GF bun is $1. I ordered the children's meal and swapped the green beans for the fries. The child's meal comes with a coupon for a free small frozen custard. Celiacs will want to do their homework before visiting, but this gluten sensitive. person did not suffer ill effects.

Ordered the turkey sandwich on GF bread. It came with potato chips. Tasty sandwich with great bookish atmosphere. I'll be back on my next trip through town.

I called ahead for a beef gluten free pasty. Iron Town Pasties was very accommodating -- even when I called to change our arrival time a second time. My companion ordered the regular pasty. They baked my GF pasty in a paper bag to avoid cross contamination. The end result was tasty. When I passed through the area earlier this year, I was unable to stop by, but I had a nice chat with the owner who is very informed about taking precautions. While not "gluten free," these pasties are "gluten friendly." Read other reviews for other people's positive experiences.

The husband and wife (Rock and Gayle) owners added gluten free buns and bread after the wife's health improved after going gluten free. Many items on the menu are naturally gluten free. Ask about gluten free fries. Our waiter said the potato fries are gluten free, but I was not present to ask him about this. I suggested they note the availability of GF bread on their website. The hamburger I ordered on a GF bun was excellent.

This small town general store carries many gluten free products and the owner said she would be expanding GF selections even more. She was very educated about the importance of making GF products available -- even in such a remote location.

Really enjoyed the gluten free bread here. It was the size of normal bread and tasted great. Coffee was good, too.

Came for the GF bun with my burger; unfortunately, they were OUT of GF buns. Guess that means it's popular. Still, I will call ahead of time before going there again. Tasty burger, though.

Order from the gluten free menu. Their "gluten free" rice contained vermicelli (contains wheat), and they packed pita bread in my take-out bag. Clearly clueless. I couldn't figure out how to give them zero stars.
