Update! In Feb they did Flourless Feb but apparently they extended it to March. I am happy to report I went there this morning and had their blueberry wonut and boy am I glad I bought 2! The girl said she wasn't sure what they are doing after March, but I'm really thankful I was able to enjoy this yumminess. The best thing to do is check their menu online before you go so you don't end up having a wasted trip. I'm very disappointed with Rise. To this day I still haven't been able to get a gf doughnut there! I went once a few months ago on a Wednesday and the guy said they stop selling them weekly bc they weren't having a lot of sales. As if serving them weekly was problematic for sales, they now sell them only monthly. As I was driving by the other day I saw a sign that said "Flourless February" so I turned my car around and went in. They had a few options on the board, which was exciting, but no doughnuts to sell me.

Delicious! We got cupcakes here for our gender reveal for our baby and loved every bite. The icing wasn't the best, but let's be honest, it's just nice to walk in and be able to order yummy gf desserts!

This is the BEST ice cream! Honestly, the best part about it is that the serve super creamy vegan ice cream for those of us who are also dairy intolerant! I get so sick of sorbet being the only option. They have delicious chocolate most of the time in the vegan variety and they also have some gf vegan toppings as well!

I am intolerant so I'm not sure about Celiac. I'm giving this three stars because, while the food that I had was good, I could have gone to Cracker Barrel for less money and more flavor. When I clicked on the gluten free menu online on my phone it kept showing me pancakes and waffles so I assumed they served gf pancakes and waffles. When we got there I found out I was wrong. It's just unclear on the mobile menu. The gf menu has every single menu item on it with "no bread" or "pancakes are not gf" which would have taken for ever to read. I just pieced together a bunch of sides since I can't eat eggs either. If you can eat eggs and dairy this is still a good option. If you are looking for pancakes and waffles, sorry friends, this is not the place.

I had the thin rice crust pizza and it was great! I've resolved that I will never have a pizza experience like I did before I had to go gf so my expectations are different. I couldn't eat the cheese bc I'm also dairy free, so I loaded up with good toppings. I had sausage, garlic, spinach, black olives and mushrooms. It was literally the best gf pizza I've had since eating gf. Obviously, pizza with no cheese is lacking so I got some olive oil, sprinkled salt in it and dipped my pizza in and it was perfect! This restaurant is also highly recommend def by locals. The non-gf pizza is incredible says my pizza deprived husband! It is made deep dish and the sauce is on top of the impossibly long and tantalizing cheese. They may make the gf pizza like this too, I just don't know since I can't have dairy.

First of all, the rumors are true! They indeed WILL bring you gf bread when you tell them you are gf. That, to me, was such a huge thing!! In my FIVE years of gluten intolerance I have never experienced that! Our waitress was WONDERFUL, very patient and knowledgeable and willing to ask the kitchen a million things. Her name is Vera. Both these things would have been great alone but I had the penne bolognese and it blew my mind away!!!!! IT WAS TEN DOLLARS and there was so much that I have dinner for tonight. Since when does that happen when you eat gf at a restaurant!? They have a dedicated frier, gf buns for burgers or Chicken sandwiches, the aforementioned bread, a chocolate moose I couldn't enjoy bc it was to dairy free, and 2 or 3 pasta options. It was maybe the best gf dining experience I've had. This is a MUST if you are in Schaumburg or Chicago.
