Had an enchilada with pork filling. It was good and was inexpensive- $5.29 with no sides. The free chips and salsa were tasty. Salsa is more like a tomato sauce - ask for the chunky.

Wide choice of GF items, very tasty, and inexpensive- that's a good combination. I shared the Mexican plate with someone because of the large portion- very good. My other companion has the burrito bowl with soft corn tortillas on the side to assemble her own. All really good. Updated: this was so good we came back for lunch the next day and it was just as good. We all got the burrito bowl with corn tortillas. The house hot sauces that are served as condiments are really good.

Homey diner with knowledgeable staff. I had the Cali Turkey Melt with home fries and baked bean sides. It was all really good. They do tell you that the home fries are not cooked on a dedicated skillet, but they do clean it off first - scrap it. It cost about $11/person for the 3 of us to eat.

I had the Mediterranean omelette. It came with roasted potatoes and tasty multigrain gf bread for about $8.50. It was very good. Our order consisted of two sandwiches and two omelettes - it took about a half hour from ordering to getting the food. So the service is leisurely with friendly staff.

We're had the sausage and cheese frittata for breakfast. It was excellent. The frittata was very tasty and it came with great, hearty gf bread, and some fruit garnishes - grapes, watermelon, and an orange slice. Two of these and Nantucket drinks for $19. From ordering to getting food took about 10 minutes. The service was friendly and timely.

My daughter and I had 1/2 a panini and salad - although it sure seemed like a full panini - 6 inch sub. I had the Chicken, olive, and artichoke panini and she had the super duper. I had the garden salad and she had the Caesar without croutons. It was all very good with friendly service for about $20. The panini's were cooked in aluminum foil to avoid contamination, yet the crust was nicely crisp.

Yum yum. Very good food and friendly, attentive staff. We had chip and guacamole and gazpacho soup for appetizers, the tacos both the pork and chicken - all were excellent. One of us also had the el Cubano sandwich on GF bread - excellent. For the 3 us for lunch it was $48 + tip. We'll be back here when I'm the area.

Lots of GF options. Really liked the falafel. I had the special falafel of the day - Thai curry falafel - in a platter with hirasa (?) sauce (the spicy sauce). It was all very tasty in a intimate space with friendly and helpful staff. The GF cheese curds were a tasty and rare treat. We also had a GF cookie and chocolate chip bar for dessert. Well worth trying.

They have GF items marked on their menu. The service is slow. We had to wait 10 minutes to make a take out order. We mentioned to the person taking our order that we were ordering all GF items and she said she would make sure they were GF as we ordered them. We ordered spring rolls, hot and sour soup, and two Pad Thai with pork - total $40. We were able to pick the spicy level of each. We were told the pad Thai takes about 25 minutes so we sat at a table and waited. They brought us water while we waited - a nice touch for a takeout order. We got the food and ate outside right near by where there are tables and a pond. The food was very good. The spring rolls and hot and sour soup had fresh, crisp vegetables. The pad Thai was well seasoned and tasty. It was a lot of food also. If you have the time to wait on the service, the food is good.

A nice selection of sandwiches and sides that are GF. I had the Cajun Chicken sandwich with good GF bread and the quinoa salad on the side for $7.95. It was very tasty and had fresh ingredients.

  • Chipotle

Chipotle as a chain is very good and this is the local one we go to most often. They have very friendly staff and are very good about changing their gloves as well as going through the line with us. Highly recommended.

  • Scotty's Brewhouse

The food was good and they had a fair amount of items on the gf menu for a burger place. I had the spinach and artichoke dip with chips appetizer. Then I had the Sherwan burger that has peanut butter and jalapeƱos. I had to try it and it was good.

I had the Chicken Tikka Masala with Mild+ spicy-ness and rice for $12.50. It was very good. Easy menu to order from since GF items are clearly marked.

  • Pei Wei

    4 starsSeptember 11, 2014

    Terminal 1 - Lindbergh, Concourse C, 4300 Glumack Drive, Minneapolis, MN 55450

I had the Pei Wei spicy chicken - the only entree marked GF. Rice, chicken, carrots, and pea pods. It was good. A bit expensive at $9.40, but it is at the airport. It took about 10 min for them to make. I heard them communicate it was GF, but didn't watch the prep to see what that meant for them. You can see the cooking area if you want to monitor.

  • Maize Mexican Grill

    4 starsSeptember 05, 2014

    60 E Green St, Champaign, IL 61820

A helpful staff member who was GF gave me the lay of the land - almost everything is GF except for the things made with flour tortillas. I didn't go into handling processes. I ate lunch here for $6 for a dish and drink. Very tasty combination of a thicker corn tortilla with chorizo, lettuce & cheese, . It's a small place with a bustling lunch business, but worth a stop.

  • UConn Dairy Bar

    5 starsJuly 31, 2014

3636 Horsebarn Hill Road Extension, Mansfield, CT 06269

If you want great ice cream, this is the place to go in Storrs. They have an ingredients list for each flavor and whether they contain wheat or gluten among other allergens. Friendly, helpful staff. You can get a bowl with a child scoop, 1, 2, or 3 scoops. The child scoop is a normal scoop at most other shops. One scoop is about a half pint, so a 2 scoop bowl is about a pint of ice cream. We had mint choc chip, strawberry cheesecake, coffee espresso crunch, choc peanut butter swirl, and black raspberry. It was all great. They also sell the ice cream at the Blue Cow in the UConn student union.

  • Nature's Health Stores

The person we ordered from was very knowledgable about keeping things gf. All the prepared food available was gf - it is pleasant to have choices. We had a couple of turkey burgers and two turkey and pesto wrap. It took about 15 min to prepare which was fine with us. The food was all very good. Fresh ingredients and a nice combination for each. Cost for 4 to eat one entree each was $41. Very warm staff.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. They explained what was gf and not and the process to avoid cross contamination. It is a very casual atmosphere. It may be obvious from the name, but they specialize in grilled cheese. We had the club and the turkey Brie (w/o the fig jam). They were both tasty. We also had the Greek god salad. It had fresh ingredients and a good dressing. For the four of us to eat - 2 sandwiches and 2 salads - it was $35. I'd go there again when in Providence.

  • Noodles & Company

Can request gf noodles and they will do rice noodles. Good food.

  • Dino's Gyros

    2 starsJuly 27, 2014

856 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Great salads, but not fg trained staff. They have the GF items clearly marked on the wall menus, however the staff are not trained in cross contamination. We had to tell them to change their gloves since they were working with pita bread. They were going to use the same tongs to get the grilled chicken as they had used for the non-gf gyro meat. The worker who changed their gloves then slid the salad to another worker to put toppings on and we had to ask them to change their gloves. So it was a lot of work and it flustered the workers since it is not something they were trained in. If they could get their processes and training down for GF, the food was excellent. Until then, we'll be more likely to go to Chipotle where they know how to do GF.

  • Punch Pizza

    4 starsJuly 27, 2014

802 Washington Ave SE, Minneapolis, MN 55414

Their wood fired GF Pizza is excellent. They have procedures to reduce the chance of cross contamination although the GF pizza is cooked in the same oven and they do make pizza dough there. The wood firing makes some of the best GF pizza I ever tasted.
