43800 Central Station Dr, Ashburn, VA 20147
The GF milk shakes are wonderful!! The buns are lighter than I've come to expect with GF buns and crumble, and today the toppings were surprisingly sparse. Still, it was another good meal
19307 Promenade Dr, Leesburg, VA 20176
This did not go well for me. At all :(
525 E Market St, Leesburg, VA 20176
I took my mother here for lunch one day as a treat--I'm so sorry we hadn't found it sooner! the meal was just GREAT, service was excellent, and I was tickled pink to see all the posters advertising animals up for adoption at Loudoun County Animal Control. On top of that, all tips go to LCAS. I'm definitely going to eat here again! The only down side is that the woman taking the order seemed like she wasn't sure what GF meant, but I didn't get sick at any rate.
46308 Cranston St, Sterling, VA 20165
I have eaten here several times, and gotten pretty sick about half of those times, even though I always order the same thing. The current staff doesn't seem to care much about anything, really. The last time, there were dirty dishes on nearly every table and only one patron dining, and the rest of the tables had trash or sticky stuff smeared on them. Today the tables were mostly clean, but the dining room is otherwise filthy, with food and trash all over. That's not to say the food isn't usually good, but I've not had a good run of it here as of late. The 2 people I've spoken with the last 2 visits had no idea what "gluten allergy" meant. Maybe I should stop coming for dinner and try lunch instead?
405 Espanola Way, Miami Beach, FL 33139
The food was excellent, but the waitstaff had no idea what gluten was, and the manager told me that although there wasn't a separate GF menu, I could see for myself that there were lots of GF options. Unsurprisingly, I didn't feel so great later. Sadly.
542 Fort Evans Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176
I had no problem here, eating beef pho. I've eaten here several times now.
667 Potomac Station Drive, Leesburg, VA 20176
My experience here wasn't very good. A lot of food tasted like it came out if a can with that particular aftertaste. The young man and woman at the registers couldn't tell me what my options were--they told me that I would know better than they would. I looked up the GF menu on my phone to be safe. Even so, I had a very rough day and night. Haven't been that sick after a meal in a long time... And I had such high hopes :(
22000 Dulles Retail Plaza Suite 190, Dulles, VA 20166
They had a total of 5 or 6 items on the GF menu. I ordered the spicy Pei Wei with chicken and white rice. There was way more sauce than substance, and the sauce was this thick sugary stuff. I wasn't particularly impressed and could not finish what I was given.
303 E. Altamonte Drive Suite 1350, Altamonte, FL 32701
I gave Jason's an extra star just for having GF bread and working to provide several options. My sister just LOVES the deli, but I'm not overly impressed with the quality of the offerings. It's okay, just not stellar. They do make up for that with a larger quantity of offerings. My stomach did get a little unhappy after eating here once, but no issues since then. I would not call it celiac friendly.
2401 W State Road 434, Longwood, FL 32779
TALK TO YOUR SERVER! They don't have a separate GF menu, but they are more than willing to work with you. We had Greek salad and cucumbers with cucumber sauce to go with stuffed peppers and tomatoes. Oh, and Greek potatoes. It was wonderful, and my stomach fared beautifully.
1600 W Fairbanks Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789
My lovely sister brought me takeout. We shared brisket, collard greens, roasted jalapenos, sweet potatoes, green beans and corn. It was all wonderful. The brisket was juicy and tender, and the sides were all good. My only complaint was that it seemed a little salty, and I would have loved something to put out the mouth fire... They did have GF cookies already made as well.
8190 Strawberry Ln, Falls Church, VA 22042
Went here for the first time last week. I was surprised they don't have GF summer rolls, but the spring rolls were quite good, as was the lotus salad. The beef for the grilled beef and rice noodles was tender, but bland. My husband reported that the non-GF stir fried beef and vegetables was too much like the canned Chinese you can get anywhere. Still, a very enjoyable meal.
11950 Democracy Dr, Reston, VA 20190
always a pleasure!
7356 Baltimore Ave., College Park, MD 20740
The food was good, but the staff was a little apathetic about the whole food allergy thing. Still, I didn't get sick!
3710 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, VA 22740
The guys working were great. They took care to try and prevent cross-contamination. I don't know if they know if their toppings are GF or not-- I didn't think to ask. I don't know if hard core celiacs would be safe for that reason and because the risk of cross-contamination. I had a stellar pizza heaped with awesome toppings and most importantly, I did not get sick. As an added bonus, you can eat on the covered deck outside, AND there is a fabulous grocery in the same building that had a great selection of GF food, including gnocchi! This is my new favorite place to hit after a long hike in Shenandoah.
3950 Chain Bridge Rd, Fairfax, VA 22030
They go to great lengths to keep celiacs safe, and they did a great job. The crab cakes were stellar and the GF bread and seasonal vegetables were also good. I wish the cheese on the French onion soup had been browned. The fried chicken was okay, but the carrot cake was not so good--very dense, bland and left a lot to be desired. At least the ice cream was fabulous! I also had to remind the waiter 3 times before I got my glass of wine. All in all, it was a good meal with room for improvements.
507 Hilltop Plaza, Virginia Beach, VA 23454
This place is awesome! I get one of the beef soups with the normal (rice) noodles and beef in grape leaves and have never had an issue. Avoid the fried rolls--they are not GF. The fresh rolls are excellent, but I would avoid the peanut sauce as it usually has hoisin and/or soy sauce mixed in.
300 Winston Salem Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
There is no specific GF menu, but the waitstaff that helped me were both knowledgeable. The blackened fish tacos were very good, the salad fresh and tasty and the mahi platter with the pineapple-mango salsa was wonderful! If I get there again, I'll ask for the fruit salsa for the tacos. The prices were reasonable and portions enormous. Watch out for hidden soy sauce!
1620 Laskin Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23454
We had artichoke dip and shrimp and grits. My husband (no gut problems) had the salmon platter. Everything we had was rich, rich, rich--smothered and covered in cheese with more cheese on top. It was good, but VERY heavy. Hubby said salmon and cornbread were also quite good. I enjoyed the meal but would prefer it toned down. We will not be ordering the artichoke dip again.
3420 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
I had a breakfast sandwich on a GF bagel and home fries, with a bit of my husband's grits. The fries and grits were great, and the sandwich good. I'll try the pancakes tomorrow! My only complaint would the staff didn't seem very happy. Our server was pleasant enough to us and her other customers, but they didn't seem too happy otherwise.
741 1st Colonial Rd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
My tummy is happy! Loved the GF calamari, and the Mediterranean chicken was wonderful :) the creme brulee was also just prefect
Paris Resort & Casino, 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South, Las Vegas, NV 89109
Loved it. The GF bread was the best I've ever had, and the scallops were melt-in-your-mouth wonderful. The creme brulee and jumbo shrimp were also amazing. The only (minor) disappointment was the GF French onion soup. There was too much of the GF bread chunks and not enough onions, but it was still very good.
3930 Las Vegas Blvd S (The Shoppes at Mandalay Place), Las Vegas, NV 89119
The menu is a little unclear. There are notices that they carry gluten-free crust and 2 different kinds of GF pasta, but the server was not at all knowledge as to what kind of toppings I could safely eat. He didn't know if the buffalo sauce or ranch were GF, and had no idea that the whiskey sour cream was a big no-no. I played it safe with a pizza whose ingredients appeared to be likely GF, and I did fine. The chicken on the BBQ pizza was bland by itself and there wasn't enough pineapple on the Hawaii 5-0, but the GF crust was good, the pizza was overall quite good, and it was a satisfying meal.
6435 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89118
The food was excellent. Just plain wonderful-hot, fresh and perfectly prepared. The coffee was some of the best I've had in a while. However, we waited at least 10 minutes for service. Once the waitress got here, the service was efficient. I will be coming back.
7835 S Rainbow Blvd, Las Vegas, NV 89113
Just plain awesome. Thank you, Joe! Not only was the food fresh and fabulous, the guys were great and gave me lots of other ideas for places to go. Can't recommend it enough.
145 East Main Street, Purcellville, VA 20132
This is the first real burger I've been able to eat in a long, long time. It was excellent, and the sweet potato chips were also wonderful. Thank you, Market Burger!
45980 Waterview Plaza, Sterling, VA 20166
I've never had a bad meal here, and I've never gotten sick. In addition to their regular GF menu, many of the specials are GF, and some can be made GF if you ask. Staff seems knowledgeable and always friendly and helpful.
21031 Tripleseven Rd., Sterling, VA 20165
I eat here probably twice a month (maybe more often) and have never had a problem. The individual staff members may not have specific GF education, but the reality is that almost all of the products running through all Chipotles are GF. The notable exception is their soft, flour tortillas. They also note in their online information that the corn salsa should be avoided by individuals with severe reactivity as it may be cross-contaminated. It's great that Chipotle as an organization did their homework and is so forward with information! The biggest reason I don't eat here more often is the wait at lunchtime can be unbelievable. Overall, I still love it.
21800 Towncenter Plaza, Sterling, VA 20164
The service here is variable, but more often than not, leaves a lot to be desired. They are supposed to have gluten-free buns, but this location does not carry them and the menu clearly says ask for everything without bread. I have had several things off the GF menu that have gone well and others that have not. I suspect it's a lack of education and consistency in training leading to cross-contamination. Still, it's nice to have a place to hang out with the guys and watch the game.
198 North 21st Street, Purcellville, VA 20132
I have never been disappointed by Mags. I love the tomato soup and very often the specials are either gluten-free or can be made gluten-free. Food is always fresh and locally-sourced whenever possible, recipes are creative and the service is excellent. One of my favorite restaurants in the area, owned by the same folks that have Fireworks pizza and Tuscarora mill in Leesburg, all great places.
201 Harrison St SE, Leesburg, VA 20175
I love this place. All of the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced whenever possible and the pizzas are creative. I like the GF crust they make. It's less fluffy than the regular version, but still has good flavor. Service is always good and they always have GF adult beverages available.
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32821
The lemon cupcake was just wonderful, and the cookie crunch donuts were also very good, especially the chocolate one. The brownie cupcake was dry and hard and the red velvet wasn't "red velvety enough". It's also nearly impossible to find the shop, wedged between Lego land and the dinosaur place, and $3.75/cupcake or donut is a lot, but there's something to be said about a bakery that's "safe".
5320 W Irlo Bronson Hwy., Kissimmee, FL 34746
I had GF pasta and soup without any issues. It's nice to go somewhere that they have more than just one or two options, and really nice not to have to pay a fortune to keep from getting sick! Very affordable and quite tasty. The only detractor would have been what seemed like an awfully long wait for a small meal in an empty restaurant, but we weren't in a hurry.
1703 East Franklin Street, Richmond, VA 23223
Absolutely amazing. The al hambre was wonderful, staff very helpful and knowledgeable and I could eat EVERYTHING! The best food I've had in a long, long time.
8805 A1A S, St Augustine, FL 32080
The (mostly) crab cakes were really good. I mean, lick-your-plate-clean-and-ask-for-more kind of good. This was the first time I've been able to try a GF crab cake, and I have really been missing them! The pizza was also pretty good, although the pepperoni wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped and I have had better GF pizza crust, although this wasn't bad. The tuna steak was also wonderful and to be honest, these were some of the best fries I've ever had. The portions are generous, food is fresh and server very helpful. I was disappointed that they only had the marbled cheesecake as a GF dessert option. Cheesecake isn't my favorite and I had heard such good things about their dessert, I was really looking forward to it. Regardless, I will be coming back the next time.
82 San Marco Avenue, St. Augustine, FL 32084
I stopped here for a friend and was pleasantly surprised that there were a few gluten-free cupcakes and macaroons as well. It turns out the woman working (who I think may be the owner possibly) has celiac disease. The cupcakes have a disclaimer that say that while entirely gluten-free ingredients were used, it is prepared in a kitchen making 'normal' stuff so cross-contamination is possible, although they try very hard to avoid it. The chocolate-peanut butter cupcake was amazing--fluffy and moist and just plain sinful. As an added bonus, I didn't get sick. I highly recommend stopping here. One slight negative is a limited selection, but at least you know they are fresh and fabulous.
7600 Doctor Phillips Boulevard #4, Orlando, FL 32819
The lamb loin was excellent, as were the lemon potatoes. The wait staff wanted to be helpful, but neither she nor the cooks were entirely sure what might contain gluten, and one helpful gent kept bringing out pitas for me at every course. There also weren't any dessert options that we could be sure that were safe. Even so, it was a great meal. I would stick with things unlikely to be problematic, like eating cucumber slices with hummus, any of the roasted meat dishes, and the toasted potatoes instead of the rice, which is made with yellow rice and may or may not be safe.
6000 West Osceola Parkway, Kissimmee, FL 34746
I'll here for a conference and was very concerned I would have trouble finding acceptable food. They do, in fact, offer a gluten-free alternative, but you have to ask. They have a salad option every day, and thankfully have had 1 hot option the last 2 days. Nothing spectacular, just chicken and rice noodles or chicken and rice, but edible. I appreciate the effort they are making.
8735 Vineland Avenue, Orlando, FL 32821
The manager was very helpful and seemed knowledgeable, but there were painfully few selections. The rice bowls at this location aren't even edible because they use a gluten-containing yellow rice. He did not suggest anything fried as they do not have a separate fryer and cannot prevent cross-contamination. He did say that most other locations still use basmati rice, which more than doubles the available selections. The chicken with cilantro crema was well-prepared and flavorful (albeit salty) and didn't cause any gut problems.
2901 Parkway Boulevard A1, Kissimmee, FL 34747
Great service, excellent food. Staff is happily able and willing to alter food so it is more gluten-friendly. There is no gluten-free fryer or prep area so cross contamination is possible, altho they try to avoid it. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.
