I had a very tasty salad with seared haddock on top, and they were very accommodating and willing to follow my requests (I've encountered less-than-willing wait staff recently, so this was a breath of fresh air).

  • Brixx Wood Fired Pizza

30 Town Square Blvd, Asheville, NC 28803

I was so, so excited to find out that Brixx had gluten-free pizza! I was also very excited to find that my order came out in it's own pan to avoid any cross-contamination, and there were so many options to pick from in terms of toppings and seasonings. It was one of the best gluten-free pizzas I've had in a long time.

I have celiac and I'm also a vegetarian so finding a decent barbecue place is pretty tough. I was pleasantly surprised with Luella's - The staff was great and there were actually options for me to eat.

Wish I could say I actually tried the food. We waited for over 25 minutes with no service and ended up leaving.

I had heard rave reviews about this place, but found the food to be a bit ho-hum. Probably won't be back with all your other options in Asheville.

My favorite restaurant in Asheville, and the best gluten-free restaurant in Asheville. Go here!

Had yummy muscles and french fries. The fries have a dedicated fryer and the servers informed me that they were gluten-free.

Fabulous food! I had the coconut curry rice bowl; the small was plenty in terms of portions. Will definitely be back.

I are at the other Harry & Izzy location downtown, and had no problem at all. I ate at this location on my way out of town, and they were not nearly as attentive. The gluten-free menu was different at this location, and when I asked about any accommodations that needed to be made they were somewhat dismissive about my needs. Of course, I got mildly glutened - I should have followed my instinct on this one. Wouldn't go there again.

Shrimp cocktail was awesome and also gluten-free. Note that the beet salad comes with goat cheese - this is NOT gluten-free (the goat cheese). Had a gluten-free pizza and loved it. Enough to take back to my hotel!

If you make sure to tell them you are Celiac, they actually put it on the ticket. They have a separate menu, and I had the fish tacos app. I'm writing this several days later and know I didn't get glutened there.

The staff was SUPER knowledgable, and I was delighted to learn that they served GF rolls. They also have a dedicated fryer for their polenta.

I had the chickpea crepes and a salad with GF champagne vinaigrette. So yummy! Slightly comical side note: the menu has "gluten friendly" items with an "X" over a wheat grain image. I double checked - it should say "GF friendly," but I wouldn't hold this against them. They even remade a cocktail with Tito's vodka to be GF.

As the previous rater mentioned, they didn't have a dedicated GF menu, but were very knowledgable. The head host took me under her wing, and outlined everything that was okay. I had the grape leaves (sans the lemon sauce, it had flour) and beets with yogurt sauce. Both were excellent. No GF beers, and steer clear of anything on the grill.

Location: D Concourse. Good options: edamame, seaweed salad. They also have gluten-free soy sauce. Cons: some of the pre-packaged items have wheat listed in the ingredients, so I had a spicy tuna roll. It was good. Will write a follow up review if I get glutened!

My waitress was very knowledgable. Limited but good options. I had the shrimp dish (Camarones al Mojo de Ajo). If I get glutened, I'll follow up with another review! Other options: chicken tacos, chicken Caesar salad.
