Insanely good and safe gf food! I was able to have a gf app, crusted chili tofu as an entree, and coconut rice pudding for dessert. I had a cider and a gf beer. They have a dedicated fryer, so I was even able to sample the fries! Staff is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Would eat here every week if I lived in DC.

Was traveling in the area and stopped here due to the other reviews and gf menu. Server was well-informed and attentive. I had a caprese-style appetizer, gf vegetarian pasta (chock full of veggies!), a side of asparagus, and a gf brownie with ice cream. My partner loved his ribs (not sure if they're gf or not). Portions and quality are well worth a little extra. An extremely satisfying experience and a little sad I don't live in the area.

Echo the sentiments of the first poster. The dedicated gf stand was closed. Thought I had done the right thing by researching ahead of my visit, but to no avail. Bring your own food!

By far the best gf crust ever. Ever. Wish I had the recipe. Gf beer (Ommission) and Stella Cidre available. Seperate gf menu. Not usually a fan of chains, but they have this down right.

Love, love, love Fishbones. Always have, even before the Celiac. As a vegetarian, they specially make a black bean taco (corn tortilla) for me. So tasty and fresh. They also began offering Ommission after i suggested it as a GF beer option. Who can ask for better service? They actually listened to those of us who have limited options, and I have always left full of healthy, safe food. Amazing manager and staff!

Best GF crust in the area. Wish they offered a GF beer, but the Sir Perrys cider is actually pretty tasty (from a former beer snob and cider hater). As a Celiac vegetarian, I can have an amazing Margherita pizza with crust that isn't overly salty. Overall, very impressive feat that I haven't been able to pull off in my own kitchen. Good for them, and me! Service is always attentive and caring. Cannot speak highly enough about this restaurant, and it's twin Fishbones. The owner is focused on quality, local food and creates amazing fresh and seasonal menus.

They offer a veggie and Gf burger, which just happens to be amazing, and Gf beer. Would have given them 5 stars, but they don't have a separate fryer, so all the tempting fries are off limits :( I am amending my review after admittedly weekly (if not more so) visits. They now offer another gluten free and vegetarian burger, the nutty patty. They are so consciousness of dietary restrictions that they removed the bread crumbs to make it GF. The hummus had been upgraded to a roasted red pepper, and honestly I don't miss fries. I feel good when leaving and I cannot speak highly enough about the entire staff. They are genuinely concerned about their customers, and I am forever a loyal one.

I am a Celiac vegetarian and was extremely impressed with my food choices. I had the grilled veggie pizza, which had one of the best gf crusts I've ever had. On top, they have gf beer and cider. The even better part? Their service. They were extremely attentive due to my restrictions and could not have left happier or more full.

The Worx clearly denotes whether each menu item is vegan, vegetarian, and Gf. No dedicated fryer and, as of now, no Gf beers (I suggested to one of the owners that they look into it). I always have the grilled portobello with goat cheese, spinach, and roasted sweet potatoes. Super tasty! Also a great place to either sit outside on the porch, or to catch the game inside.

There is always at least 1 entree that is vegetarian, and can be tweaked to be Gf. The staff are very helpful in communicating with the chef to make the most out of a dish. Great creme brûlée always on the menu. No Gf beers, and they have shared fryers.

  • Crafted

Crafted offers delicious Gf and vegan tacos, along with Gf beer and cider. Beware that although they have corn tortilla chips available, they are fried in a shared fryer. They are careful to mark your ticket as Celiac and will accommodate your requests to change gloves, etc.

After informing the staff that I am a vegetarian Celiac, they suggested the ravioli. Needless to say, I had a glass of wine and left.

This is a chef-owned and operated restaurant, which allowed my server to ask pick to choose a menu item and ask the chef if it met my restrictions (Celiac and vegetarian). To my shock, I was able to order the pad Thai without any modifications! My other diners thoroughly enjoyed their meal, but the best was yet to come....dessert! There were 2 gf options. The Belgium chocolate creme brûlée is quite possibly the best I've ever tasted and I had to fend the others off my plate. The flour less chocolate cake was on the drier side, but the lemoncello sorbet and strawberries complemented it nicely. I would highly recommend stopping in! (Disclaimer: I am not particularly sensitive to cross-contamination, so you will want to inquire for yourself).
