I have changed my review to a one star because I was JUST there, I am sitting in front of the deli now. The owner just cross contaminated my sandwich TWICE while making it. she assured me SHE is safe when making GF sandwiches. She cut a bagel, then sliced the meat for my sandwich, never. changing gloves. Then used the lettuce from the bag the other employee was using to make regular sandwiches, that then had gluten all over it!! DO NOT EAT HERE YOU WILL GET CROSS CONTAMINATED!!

They are NOT gluten free. All the GF fried food is cooked in the SAME fryer. It even says so on the GF menu!!!! The waitress had NO idea what Gluten Free meant!!! DO NOT GO HERE!! I don't know why other reviews said they have a dedicated fryer, they told me they do not.

This restaurant is wonderful!! We were visiting from New Jersey and found Home. The French fries are amazing as well as the burger, the BEST GF burger bun I have ever had. Jared (the owner) came out and talked to us. No worries about getting "glutened" there. It would absolutely be worth the three hour drive to go back there. I can't wait to try the GF Mac & cheese. Thank you to Jared and his staff for a truly WONDERFUL experience. We can't wait to come back again.

Amazing place! I JUST got home from this place and HAD to recommend the Iron Forge Inn immediately. The chef and staff COMPLETELY understand gluten free and cross contamination. They have an extensive menu available, not a separate menu, but they staff can easily direct you to what is GF, most of it is. They even had gluten free cheese cake! the crust is made with polenta, but you never know it is not a graham cracker crust!

We went here on a whim & we PLEASANTLY surprised! They completely understood the GF needs! They had a wonderful salad- GF dressing Not just oil & vinegar. And an AMAZING prime rib!! And 3 or 4 GF desert options. It is SO nice to be able to go out to eat like a "normal" person!! If you go on the weekend ask for Carol as your waitress, you will not be disappointed.

This is an authentic English tea shop & so quaint & beautiful you will not be disappointed! The owner helped us directly with the GF choices. The make everything homemade. They have an interesting menu. I had the cottage pie, delicious! they have wonderful salads & vegetarian GF chili. They have fresh in house roasted chicken & beef & have frozen GF bread so GF sandwiches are always available. If you call a day in advance you can have GF potpie or quiche - homemade of course. They also have an extensive tea menu of course!

the most AMAZING experience!! The owner/manager came over to my table to help me find something GF on the menu. They did not have an separate GF menu yet. They made an AMAZING Mongolian beef- it was not even on the menu... they are putting together a special GF menu to make ordering easier. This food is authentic and SO delicious!! They really understand the needs & cross contamination issues. I will GLADLY drive from Sussex County NJ to come here again!

A great little dinner that has AMAZING GF hamburger buns, best I have EVER had. They made separate "french fries". They used fresh potatoes sliced them thin on a mandolin and fried them in a special pan of oil. The use beef from a local farm too! Delish! They are trying 2 expand their menu too.I have not tried their other GF offerings yet...

we made a special trip there on our way out of town on vacation only to find out they cook the GF pizza in the same oven as regular pizza! So VERY disappointed we left. The waitress tried 2 tell me they have really clean ovens & that i would probably be fine. Really??? I don't think so! Being inspected by the health dept means NOTHING when it comes to cooking GF, GF certified is NOT the same thing.

The GF pizza is wonderful! We had the Potato pie- mashed potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, bacon & scallions on a pizza crust. And the GF chicken napolean- also SO good. I asked about cross contamination & the chef came out 2 explain how they prepared everything. The staff was GREAT! I can't wait until we come back to Rhode Island to go again!

I went to ask family pizza about the GF pizza and they insisted that if they cooked the GF pizza in the regular oven there was no chance of cross contamination?! The waitress was actually rude about the subject when I did not agree with her. I could never go there, even if the did change their way of cooking the GF pizza the avoid cross contamination with a wait staff that is more worried about being right than listening to a customer. If i could give negative stars I would.

absolutely wonderful!! The hand cut french fries are the best ever! and a real cheeseburger on a bun an all!! (Udi's) And a milkshake made with Hersheys ice cream. Just delightful. And the staff could not be more friendly. The owner was right there to answer any questions & knows how to do GF right, his sister has celiac. So u KNOW they are going to do it right.
