    5 starsSeptember 01, 2015

3201 Bee Caves Road, Austin, TX 78746

Sushi is available GF. Be sure to say you are gluten intolerant and they will bring GF soy sauce to dip in. Good traditional nori waki sushi.

  • Russell's Bistro

    4 starsAugust 21, 2014

    1601 W 38th St #1, Austin, TX 78731

Gluten free bread for sandwiches. One gluten free dessert, Mocha Divine - very rich. Plus truffles. Recently added GF lemon poppy seed quick bread and chocolate chip cookies.

  • Kerbey Lane Cafe

    4 starsAugust 21, 2014

3704 Kerbey Ln, Austin, TX 78731

Gluten free pancakes are good. And huge. One is generally enough unless you're a marathoner. Also GF bread for sandwiches. No dedicated GF kitchen space.

  • Corazon at Castle Hill

    2 starsJuly 04, 2014

    1101 W 5th St, Austin, TX 78703

Staff is knowledgeable. Menu is clearly marked for GF. The kitchen is flexible. And the food is very good. However, I am chili intolerant and it is hard to get correct information about that. Maybe I haven't found the right phrase, somehow a jalapeno or some cayenne isn't a chili pepper to many Texas wait staff.

  • The Peach Tree

    5 starsJune 21, 2014

210 South Adams Street, Fredericksburg, TX 78624

Udi bread and buns for sandwiches. Also wheat-free cookies (oat flour), probably a special. Now (June 2014) closed on Sunday.

  • Cafeina

    5 starsMay 21, 2014

1389 Solano Ave, Albany, CA 94706

  • Cafe Malta

    4 starsMarch 22, 2014

3421 W William Cannon Dr, Austin, TX 78745

2/3 of the regular menu is or can be made GF. If you are sensitive avoid the Estrella Daura, it strictly speaking is not GF according to US law (it's made with barley with the gluten removed). Google the name for explanation. The food is good, typical of southern France and Spain. All entrees under $20, all wines under $10. Server Jessica knowledgeable and very good. Inside is noisy. Get a reservation if you want to sit outside, much quieter.

  • My Friend Joe

    1 starsMarch 02, 2014

  • East West Cafe

    1 starsFebruary 28, 2014

557 Summerfield Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95405

Pretty place. None of the dinner GF entrees have any protein. All of the meats and tofu are marinated in soy sauce. Lunch and breakfast look more promising. We may try them. And tahini claims to not be GF. Huh?

  • Bistro 29

    5 starsFebruary 27, 2014

    620 5th St, Santa Rosa, CA 95404

Excellent French food. I had the cassoulet and my wife had the Basque seafood crepe. The buckwheat crepes are good. They are willing to make adjustments, e.g., leave the bread crumbs out of the cassoulet. The black currant sorbet was excellent. The DeVoto hard cider went very well with everything, but was a bit thin by itself. We will be back.

Their own GF baked goods (muffins, cookies, and brownies) are the best I've found in Austin. Also Better Bites GF baked goods, many vegan or dairy-free. Also very good. Many GF packaged snacks. GF breakfast tacos and sliders, GF sandwiches with dedicated cutting board and knife.

  • Hyde Park Bar & Grill

    3 starsNovember 28, 2013

4206 Duval St, Austin, TX 78751

A few gluten free dishes, but the sides aren't always gluten-free! The rice pilaf that comes with the GF salmon isn't GF. Cooking is good but not gourmet. I like the feel of the place, good neighborhood bar and restaurant. The potato crusted talapia is GF ingredients, but cooked in shared fryer. It's good.

  • Sweet Yams

    4 starsOctober 09, 2013

218 North Cherry Street, San Antonio, TX 78202

  • The Steeping Room

    5 starsJuly 05, 2013

4400 North Lamar Boulevard #102, Austin, TX 78756

  • Grills Riverside

    2 starsJune 17, 2013

    6075 U.S. 1, Melbourne, FL 32940

Fish can be ordered GF, but without marinade nothing special. Steamed veggies without sauce are tasteless. French fries were old and lukewarm.Corn kernels were good. My wife's shrimps were tasteless. She left most of her dinner behind. Nothing wrong, but not much right with the food. Nice waitress. Another GI person ordered Caesar salad without dressing (dressing is not GF). It arrived with dressing. Waitress was gracious about having kitchen re-do it. Best thing was the view of the Banana River. I give it two stars because one is reserved for places with gluten contamination.

  • Joumana's Mediterranean Cuisine

    5 starsJune 17, 2013

2155 Palm Bay Rd NE #1, Palm Bay, FL 32905

No GF menu, but staff are knowledgeable and willing to ask the cook. For example, our waitress knew the ingredients of the daily special soup. The grape leaves are available in vegetarian and lamb versions. The latter are heated and very good. The fattoush salad is available GF. The house salad with entrees is huge and very good. The lemon lentil soup, a daily special, was very good. The lamb kabobs were very good, but cooked a bit more them I expected. I asked for medium, a bit of pink in the center, but only the largest piece had any pink. But it wasn't overcooked, very tasty. Portions are big, my wife and I ordered a half-order lamb kabob plate with rice and two sides, plus two appetizers. Just the entree would have been enough. Best Mediterranean food I've eaten, though not the fanciest service.

  • Wild Wood Bakehouse

    4 starsNovember 21, 2012

    3016 Guadalupe St #200, Austin, TX 78705

Relocated from Bee Caves Road. Give them time to work out the kinks. Several parts of our orders were wrong: bison instead of Angus beef in the burgers, ficaccio and sourdough buns were switched. No biggie and they were good about making it right. Two kinds of GF beer, and several non-GF beers. Ask about GF before ordering a wine. I'll review again in a month or two. The evening staff has it together better than the lunch staff.
