1212 D Southeast Powell Boulevard, Portland, OR 97202
If you even think you *might* like cider, this is the place to go.
2021 Southeast Clinton Street #101, Portland, Oregon 97202
Excellent and no line on a warm early Thursday evening. Always ask because they aren't exclusively GF but there we no gluteny flavors when I was there and they seem very careful. Plus they always have GF waffle cones.
20 Basin St, Astoria, OR 97103
Great for lunch. Everything we had was good and they were very careful with gluten free. They also had cider on tap and bonus points for offering Happy Camper brand bread. Owner has celiac. I posted on this place a few years ago and didn't have such a great experience. But this was a good experience. My daughter with celiac was just fine.
420 West 13th Avenue, Eugene, OR 97401
Great wings. They are not a GF facility but they do have a separate prep area and very careful. My daughter with celiac and the rest of us who are gluten intolerant were all just fine.
1644 Main Street, Philomath, OR 97370
Excellent. Great BBQ and pretty much everything else. Full and varied menu for lunch and dinner. Lots of really good treats as well. They are a fully gluten free facility. They don't even let people being in their own drinks or anything. The whole family of owners are gluten intolerant. It's out of the way for use but definitely worth the trip!
1852 Fescue St SE, Albany, OR 97322
Allen Bros. Beanery has good coffee and some gluten free juices and packaged snacks. They also have some gluten free baked goods from Elegant Elephant (which is all Gluten free) and they keep it separate and handle carefully. They now also have udi's bread for sandwiches. Ask though, they have lots of stuff that's not gluten free.
272 Saint Jacques Street, Montreal, QC H2Y 1L9, Canada
All GF (sans gluten) and very good.
994 Rue Rachel Est, Montreal, QC, Canada H2J 2J3
Good and decadent. I had Lê Classique poutine. They are careful enough with sans gluten (gluten free) that they warned me about risk of cross contamination and steered me away from the fries (no dedicated fryer) to the breakfast potatoes which are cooked in a pan so should be safer.
8523 Greenwood Ave N, Seattle, WA 98103
Everything is good and the calzones are amazing. They're serving Harvester beer too now (best GF beer in NW).
1500 Western Ave, Seattle, WA 98101
French dip today was excellent and we got to try fresh hot very light pound cake. Mmm mmm.
7921 Old Georgetown Rd, Bethesda, MD 20814
Great food. Crabcake was really good (though don't expect a traditional flat and deep fries one- this is more of a mound of succulent fresh crab). Full GF menu. Great sautéed veggies and cupcake. And they have omission beer. Good concept - they sell a lot of GF foods there too. I'm not celiac but given the care they took I would try it with my daughter who is (I'm from out of town so not sure if I'll get a chance)
226 Euclid Ave, Cleveland, OH 44114
Excellent taste and very friendly. They were very helpful with GF and clearly identify which. Make sure you say it right away as they do have some items that are not GF.
2030 Southeast 7th Avenue, Portland, OR 97214
Excellent food! And gluten free beer. The chef studied under Thomas Keller (French Laundry).
1813 Northeast 2nd Avenue, Portland, OR 97212
Taproom only. No Food. But great cider selection literally brewed in the same room. You can see all the equipment. Nothing with gluten in it that I know of. My favorites were the pippin and the dry but they have 6 to choose from plus a guest cider tap.
1477 Northeast Alberta Street, Portland, OR 97211
Good salads with lots of choices. Most everything can be gluten free but they do have croutons and a few other things with gluten so ask. Good for those avoiding gluten but probably not for super-sensitive.
5221 Northeast Sandy Boulevard, Portland, OR 97213
Good and super friendly. They have some great sandwiches.
1939 Cornwall Ave, Vancouver, BC V6J
Pizza suffered a bit from reheating and the cheese was a little too processed and sweet for my taste (just barely but still more than this sharp cheddar and mozz fan likes). Everything is GF. A few cookies are lighter than I like (lots of starches probably) but good flavors and other items look fine. The chocolate utopia with a hint of rum was good.
337 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V6A 1P4
They keep a separate station for gluten and everything else in the kitchen is gluten free. The woman who helped me said they treat gluten containing items as if it were raw meat or something and must be separate and cleaned up after. Hipsters will like the music and the food but you don't have to be a hipster to be comfortable here. Friendly staff, nice mix of food and good looking desserts will appeal to all. My burger was excellent - cooked just right. One of the best I've ever had. All the veggies were super fresh. The tomato tasted fresh off the vine. The ice cream sam'ich was wonderful - I think this is the first time since I've been an adult that I licked a plate in a restaurant.
633 East 15th Avenue, Vancouver, BC V5T2R6
Much more ambitious than Panne Rizo in Kitsilano and carries it off well. A great mix of items and even mixes to take home. The cinnamon bun was very good in taste but just a bit dry. The Nanaimo bar was wonderful. All gluten free and the owners have been for 10+ years. They have some vegan and some nut free items.
235 East Broadway, Vancouver, BC, Canada V5T 1W4
ONLY open for retail on Fridays and Saturdays. Didn't get to try them at all. :-(
3131 Southeast 12th Avenue, Portland, OR 97202
Excellent farm to table restaurant with local food and caring staff at reasonable prices. It also happens to be gluten free. The only thing with gluten in the whole place is (some of) the bottled beer. Everything we had was good. The veggies on the schmorgasbord and the sausage were excellent. They were very careful about explaining what was in the food and where it came from. The one thing to watch out for they immediately informed us of was that the gluten free pasta is made at Tabla where they are careful but not a dedicated facility. Celiacs probably want to avoid the pasta.
1313 Northeast Alberta Street, Portland, Oregon 97211
Fun southern Indian food. Currently everything is gluten free though its more coincidence of ingredients than conscious choice so ask if you're celiac or really sensitive. The "trilogy" is a bit bland but the sodas are great.
3217 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland, OR 97214
Great sandwiches and my daughter with celiac had no problems (note this was late last year so make sure to ask how they separate)
1626 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28203
Really good burgers. Waitstaff understood gluten issues and explained they use a separate part of the grill though its the same surface so you'll have to judge for yourself. Spiked milkshakes are something else! No separate fryer.
1537 Camden Road, Charlotte, NC 28203
Definitely not for celiacs but easy to go low gluten with corn tortillas. Good food. Funky place. Cider in bottles.
8254 Market Street #109, Wilmington, NC 28411
Most of their frozen yogurt is gluten free and they list all common allergens. They were very friendly and even let us read ingredients list. I don't recommend getting stuff off the toppings bar if you're really sensitive but they said they can bring out toppings from the back if needed. My daughter with celiac had a big serving of chocolate/vanilla swirl and loved it and had no problems. I had the strawberry cheesecake - yummy and also gluten free.
905 International Drive, Wilmington, NC 28405
Red Robin is solid for a chain though not spectacular. But waitstaff very attentive and careful. My daughter with celiac had a burger and sweet potato fries and had no problems. My other daughter with nut and seed allergies was fine too. We're going back for desserts because the servings were too big to fit in any more food.
2307 Mt Vernon Ave, Alexandria, VA 22301
Awesome. "There's a happy place where the baguettes are great but the tarts are even better." - my 9-year-old daughter with celiac. Everything we had was great.
2312 Mount Vernon Avenue, Alexandria, VA 22301
I didn't get to try but the Happy Tart across the street supplies the buns.
20500 Old Highway 99 Southwest, Centralia, WA 98531
Food was fine but not exceptional. Waitstaff helpful but not fully trained in GF. We had to send something back when it came with some bread. Ultimately though my daughter with celiac was fine afterward. The pulled pork was pretty good. Not quite willing to mark this celiac friendly but it was close and we may very well try again.
2190 W Burnside St, Portland, OR 97210
Very friendly owners. Huevos Rancheros waffles were excellent. So we're the apple waffles.
2951 S 38th St, Tacoma, WA 98409
Terrific selection and plenty of GF groceries. Deli and salad bar didn't work for my daughter who is celiac but I'll bet it would be fine for less sensitive. For a town short on Trader Joes and While foods as well as Puget Coop, Marlene's looks like it could meet all your daily needs.
1735 Jefferson Avenue, Tacoma, WA 98402
Basic, decent food. GF pasta had good texture though salad was mostly iceberg and drowning in dressing. My daughters really liked the ranch dressing though. Waitstaff was very careful and clear about GF. My celiac daughter had no problems, so we'll be back next time we're in Tacoma.
375 SW Powerhouse Dr, Bend, OR 97702
Celiac - no problem. My daughter who has celiac disease enjoyed the Mac & cheese with no gluten problems. We also talked to the manager who really seemed to understand the needs. We enjoyed our pasta dishes too.
3312 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR 97214
Great food with nice mix of comfort and foodie. Beware if you are celiac or super gluten sensitive- they don't have much separation and were awesomely honest during our last visit. I'll be back when I don't have my daughter who has celiac with me.
4943 NE Martin Luther King Jr Blvd #101, Portland, OR 97211
Excellent. And my daughter with celiac has gotten things here a number of times and had no problem.
1100 Northwest Glisan Street, Portland, OR 97209
Good fresh though very basic food. One thing on the menu with lots of variations. Worth trying if you haven't and worth revisiting of you have. My celiac daughter has eaten here half a dozen times with no negative consequences at all.
