We were asked upon entering if anyone was gluten free, which was a nice change! I got a dedicated gf menu with about the same amount of options as my group’s regular menu!
I was given a gluten free roll and deprecate butter when my family was served bread. They had gluten free fried foods, bread for burgers and sandwiches, and pasta dishes.
I tried the fried pickles cause I love fried pickles. The breading tasted totally normal, was crispy without being burnt, and they came with 2 dipping sauces.
I also got the pulled pork Mac n cheese, which was very good! I actually tried a sample of it at the Nourished festival in Boston in 2019 and remembered it from then, so I was excited to get a full plate of it. It was a great portion and even had fried onion strips on it! The pasta was a bit too starchy but still better than storebought.
All gf food came out with wooden flag picks that read “allergy”, and my server Zach told me that the manager made my food himself. It came out at a slightly different time because of this, but it was only 1-2min later than my family and worth the wait.
I will say that although I loved it, my family thought it was just okay there. So if you’re dining with people who eat gluten, they might not be as impressed.
