Gluten free fried seafood!! Having fried clams again was awesome. Huge portions. Fries are ok but everything else is so worth it. Gf lobster bisque too! Greasy as expected.

My favorite greasy dive diner. My partner and I got two meals to split them to try a little of everything, and it was way too much food! The haddock and calamari were absolutely amazing, and they were even overshadowed by how good the scallops were. The onion rings were a bit heavy and the fries were unremarkable, but just the fact I could safely eat them in a restaurant put them heads above the rest for me. I can't wait to go back next year!

was really excite to visit once i talked on the phone to a waitress. But, once there, i was a little disappointed. They use buttermilk so if you have a dairy allergy it rules out most options. It was super hot inside and waitstaff could have been better- i felt uneasy trusting her with our allergies. I am hoping they nix the dairy by the time we come back to the area so all the gluten/dairy allergy people can have fried seafood too!

I can't believe it's that good AND gluten free. 90% of the menu is gluten free and it's delicious. I had fried Maine shrimp, lobster bisque and onion rings and no reaction. I'm pretty sensitive- I don't know what their secret is but it was heavenly. If you are in the York area this place is well worth it. Very casual and seafood shack decor but the good is great!

I am not really big on fried food or seafood but my family is. We had Mr. Crab's Craby Patties, fried lobster, lobster roll, and fried fish. They had fries, I could not pass up the opportunity to have REAL ONION RINGS. All good was good but not great except the fried lobster. My family says it was extremely good. The other things were good but I felt like it all was missing seasoning to include salt. He has a passion for Gluten Free and still has a dedicated frier but he only has one so if your a large gluten free family, it's going to take him awhile to safely serve all.

I've eaten here several times and have had nothing but good experiences. I had contacted them prior to my first visit and was told they do have a dedicated fryer. The food tastes wonderful and I've never had a reaction. It's great to have a gf place to safely enjoy fried seafood in this area.

I ate at 3buoys Seafood Shanty & Grille in York Maine today. They offer almost all their offerings in gluten free. As I am also allergic to dairy, they will replace the buttermilk with your "milk" of choice if you bring it in with you in a sealed container. It was delicious and the waitress was educated about celiac and amazing! Whole experience was terrific!

This place is wonderful! They will do just about anything on the menu gf in a dedicated gf fryer. Whole belly clams, calamari, lobster nuggets, scallops, etc! Great for breakfast too. Not expensive. A must if you're in kittery or York Maine.

You can get everything on the menu gf except for the chowder! It was so fun for our celiac kids to not be limited for once. They even enjoyed fried clams and onion rings - old favorites.

The fried clams were delicious! However, they had a slight aftertaste. I also had some stomach pain a while later. They use chickpea flour, which has a very strong taste. You don't notice it when it's cooked though. They were very accommodating of my allergies. I'm also dairy free. I wouldn't advise getting anything other than fried food here though because it seems to be their specialty. My dad's homefries were so burnt they were actually black.

I have Celiac and finally tried the fried clams here back in May, after reading that many people liked them. It is very celiac friendly and the waitress was super helpful...but I did not like the taste of the batter. At all. Something about whatever they use for their GF batter turned my stomach. Even the smell of the fried batter. It was a huge portion and I ate several of them before just giving up. Terrible tasting fried clams. I won't return. I've decided that for me, it's worth the 1 hour drive to Woodman's in Essex to get fried clams and fries.

I got the gluten free fried clams and they were so over cooked I could only eat maybe a quarter of them and those were chewy.

Fresh seafood and almost everything on the menu can be made GF! I also have a dairy intolerance and he offered to make me fried clams next time if I brought him some almond milk! The lobster rolls and fish tacos are delicious. Dedicated fryer and kitchen space. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

I had a HUGE seafood omelete with home fries and GF toast (I think the bread was Udi's, just an FYI). The waitress was nice and helpful. They have a dedicated GF fryer, but I was in the mood for breakfast, the menu did say they could make any fried food gluten free. My date had some of the best fries I've ever tried, which were also GF. Great prices, lots of choices, and great staff. Definitely a great choice for the gluten free and gluten friendly to have a delicious, well priced, casual meal together!

They don't have a "gluten free" menu but can tell you what would be gluten free on the menu. Willing to cook most fish they serve anyway. waitress was very knowledgeable. She informed me that they carry gluten free bread and their fish tacos were made with corn tortillas. They had steamers that were steamed in beer but were more than happy to steam mine in water. It's a small place and you don't think they would accommodate so looks are deceiving. Only bummer was no wine selections and they did not carry gluten free beer.

Huge portions/great variety. Fries, homemade and prepared in a dedicated fryer, were delicious. Owner and cook have family members who require g-free, so he is extra careful. Get the fish tacos on corn tortillas, but make sure you are very hungry.

Fantastic! A GF friendly seafood shack in South York, ME! All the typically fried goodies (clams, shrimp, etc.) can be done grilled and they can serve all their sandwiches on Rudi's GF bread. Also important, they make their French fries by hand and cook them in a dedicated French fry only fryer. Very nice and knowledgable staff too! Highly recommended.
