We ate lunch here yesterday 5/9/23. Both celiac and dairy intolerant. We both had the cioppino. It was a huge serving with eight different seafoods in to. Neither of us had a reaction Considering returning tomorrow before we leave town and ordering the same dish it was that good!

While there were GF options marked on the menu (which is always incredibly helpful), the service was exceptionally poor, and the food was merely adequate. I didn’t get sick, so that’s worth something, but I would only go back if I had to.

I come here every time I'm in Monterey, and I've never been glutened. They have a marked menu now for GF items, and the Calamari Siciliano is my absolute favorite!

I GOT SICK. We told the waiter specifically that mine needed to be gluten free and he didn’t say anything or even acknowledged it which immediately made me nervous but I thought maybe it just came gf... nope. I guess the sauce or marinade or something either had gluten or really bad cross contamination because I am sooo sick. Plus the waiter treated our table of six like we were bothering him and was incredibly rude. Honestly worst experience I’ve had with a restaurant. Paid way too much for TERRIBLE service. The waiter was so disrespectful. Messed up our checks even after we each told him what went where AND over charged us for our meal, then argued with us and we had to have the manager come out to help sort it out. Put someone else’s order on ours and honestly the food was good but not worth it.

This is a seafood restaurant with a number of GF options including the very yummy antipasto bar.
