This location is dedicated gluten free kitchen.
Vegan gluten free pizza was tasteless to me. I have had much better gluten free bagels.
Almost any product that sells has the price raised well above the retail price elsewhere. Had a promotion for a sugar free lemonade, the promotional price of $5.99 is the retail price at Whole-foods. Agatha’s regular price is $9.99.
Baked goods have shrunk in size, same price.

I love this place! The pastries are decent and relatively cheap. They also make a tasty frittata with spinach, bacon, and cheese. It’s nice that all of their premade food is GF. As for the grocery items, be aware that some things are not gf.

Pretty good selection of premade gf products, along with in-house made pastries and entrees. Pretty impressed with the croissants—best I’ve tried.

Organic grocery store/cafe in the Upper East Side with a dedicated gluten free kitchen. They have a large selection of pre-made food, baked goods, GF essentials and have tons of vegan/dairy free options! Super pricey but definitely a great place for celiacs. I recommend their croissants - absolutely amazing!!

I felt like a kid in a candy store. So many safe choices ! I had a pumpkin scone and croissant from their baked goods and it was delicious. Lots of prepared food to choose from as well.

This place is hands down one of my favorite places for gluten free in NYC, and I feel so so lucky to be close enough to shop here regularly! Their selection of gluten free pastas (straight from Italy) is unmatched, and they all put my previous favorite (Jovial) to shame. And from the frozen section to their made-in-house pastries and snacks, Agata & Valentina has so much to offer for gluten free! I’m obsessed with their French toast and cheesecakes. The cannolis left a bit to be desired, but can’t wait to check out the other baked goods in time too.

Absolutely obsessed with this place and so grateful it exists. However, a few things to be aware of to have a safe trip:
1) not all grocery items are gluten free. However, everything they make in house (prepared foods, pasta, breads, sandwiches) is 100% gluten free and the kitchen is dedicated GF, no chance of contamination.
2) the bread used Caputo GF flour, which uses celiac safe wheat starch that is unsafe for wheat allergies.
3) anything from Knead Love Bakery is NOT celiac safe. They sell a few breads and cinnamon buns from them - there’s a chance of CC at Knead Love and they use non GF oats. All the knead love products are separately packaged, but the gluten free labeling is misleading.
If you go in knowing all of this, I think it’s absolutely celiac safe and such a gem. I think their croissant is the best in NYC, and also love their fresh pasta, focaccia, brioche, and muffins. They’re starting to broaden their offerings too, with egg sandwiches and French toast in the morning, paninis, pizza, etc. They also have coffee and opened up some cafe seating outside. A great place to stock up on GF groceries, and even better for grabbing a quick and decently priced meal or snack. Very highly recommend!

They are not a dedicated gluten free market. They do have gluten items in the store but they advertisethemselves as gluten free. There were also A LOT of mistakes made. They use gluten removed wheat flour which was not disclosed and wheat allergens were not placed on their packaging. They also did not disclose this in their prepared foods. They sell Kneadlove products which clearly states on their website that their products are not safe for people with celiac because of possible oat contamination. These donuts were in their display with other gluten free items at one point. Not sure if that’s still happening. It took a lot of people bringing all these things to their attention for them to get their act together. I had high hopes for them but I do not trust their food

This place is amazing! The whole kitchen is gluten free. Tons of freshly made and packaged vegan options including gelato, wraps, pizza, and eggplant parm!

Literally the best gluten free market ever. They have a whole storefront just for gf products! The prepared food, bakery, frozen section, everything about this place is amazing. We need to keep them in business! Get over there now. Some examples of what they have: Scones, croissants, cakes, brioche, pizza, just about anything and everything you can think of!

I just revisited Agata. They just keep adding wonderful options in their prepared food area. (fully gluten free showcase)
They added more fresh pasta as well.
The bakery also keeps adding new items such as pastries and breakfast goodies. What a treat it’s all gluten free and delicious.
I just had their Broioche French toast warmed with syrup and my son had their egg and cheese on a bun. They have stools inside and outside tables now too.
Any caputo flour used is safe, they don’t exceed the legal threshold for celiac.
Today was Agata & Valentina’s grand opening for their second location (2,000 square feet of space) across the street from their store at 1513 First Avenue at 79th Street in NYC.
All the prepared food at this location is FULLY gluten free!
The store offers prepared foods similar to their other store, grocery items, a pizza bar, pastries, breads, coffee bar, ice cream and more. Many products from Italy.
It was amazing, they have turkey meatballs chicken tenders and chicken cutlets, turkey burgers, fried zucchini, fresh homemade pizza (which we ate once we got home and it was incredibly good!), fresh pastas, homemade ciabatta and focaccia and so much more!
The croissant and the cheesecake were delicious.
They also offer a lot of vegan and
dairy free options.

So I’m not sure if people know this but when I visited all of their prepared food was made with flour containing wheat dextrin which is still controversial to be eaten by celiacs. Something to keep in mind.

A Celiac's dream. ALL prepared foods are GF. They have no cross contamination. Valentina herself has Celiac. My 15 year-old LOVES their food. Please support this business. One note of caution, some of the packaged foods are not GF, so read carefully.

All I can is wow!!! This gourmet gluten free market has everything one with celiac can ask for with prepared foods that include breaded chicken tenders/fingers, several different types of focaccia style and regular style pizzas, and homemade pastas. Breakfast? Yup- Not only do they have muffins, croissants, and bagels, but also ready to order egg sandwiches and French toast. This is a must visit in NYC!

Amazing majority gluten free market! A few pantry and freezer items are not gf but otherwise everything else in there is safe to eat. All the food they cook and bake is prepared in a safe kitchen with no contamination. The focaccia was delicious as was the fresh ciabatta bread. I enjoyed the chocolate chip scone (the chocolate chip croissant not as good - I have yet to find a good gf croissant in the city). They also sell freshly made pasta in the refrigerated section, which was quite yummy. Lots of other goodies (pizza, etc) and prepared foods like breaded chicken. So happy they have opened!!

This place is a GF haven! It’s more of a market we they have loads of GF and/or vegan products, but they also make loads of food on-site. As far as I can tell, everything they make fresh is GF. Small pizzas, bagels, sandwiches, focaccia, muffins, cheesecake, all sorts of things. Today, I only had a blueberry muffin but it was really delish.

All of the cooked food and desserts is clearly labeled 100 percent gluten free with no cross contamination. In addition to cooked food it’s like a gluten free grocery store with a lot of gluten free options available. The reason I give it 4 stars is because they do have certain items within the refrigerator such as ice cream that contains gluten so it is not dedicated gluten free
