Chips fried in a shared fryer. Super bummed as I thought they were going to be safe! No nachos. No queso.

I went to Ajo Al's because of the reviews, I have celiac. My server understood celiac, "my roommate has celiac". We had quite the extensive conversation related to the importance of GF and cross contamination. I ordered a Mexican pizza from the appetizer section on GF menu. As I began to eat the pizza I could not believe the pizza was made on corn tortillas, the server ensured it was but agreed to confirm. To my horror, the server returned apologizing that my appetizer had indeed been served on a flour tortilla. One strike and you're out, no second chances.

Fabulous! We will come here again when we are in town! It was so yummy! We had 4 people with us who were gluten free and no one got sick and our food was wonderful!

Great for celiacs! They now have a dedicated gluten free menu and a knowledgeable staff.
I had a skinny margarita (or two), chips, salsa, flaunted, and refried beans. It was all delicious.
Very happy to have found a celiac friendly sit down Mexican restaurant.
My favorite Mexican food restaurant! They are happy to answer any questions you might have.
Ajo Al's doesn't have a GF menu, but their servers know what they're doing. I've had them run back to ask the cook what was in dishes before so they could advise me properly on the safety. I've eaten there regularly and never had a contamination issue. Just changing out flour tortillas for corn and informing the server of my celiac has been all they needed to provide awesome food.I do miss the fried ice cream though.

We ate here twice & felt fine both times. The chips and salsa were yummy! Shredded chicken nachos were my choice & it was enough to feed 2-3 people!

They have a separate gluten free menu but I got glutened badly here. The food tastes great so disappointing

Gluten free menu. The chips are in a dedicated GF fryer. Their servings are huge. My chicken nachos will last me two meals. Every chip had cheese and chicken on it. Highly recommend.

We recently moved to the area and came to Ajo Al’s based on the reviews here. I had the spinach enchiladas. And enjoyed every last bite. I told them I had celiac. Unfortunately, My food was cross contaminated and I was “glutened”. I told myself it was something else because it was so tasty I didn’t want it to be true and the reviews were so good! So we went again. This time I asked for a separate menu- none. There are only the limited 3 or 4 on the menu. I asked the waiter how they handled GF items and he had to go ask. I don’t think he knows what gluten is. The manager came to our table and flat out said they could not guarantee the food is celiac safe as there is flour all over the kitchen. We won’t be back. And I’m sad.
