Ok, I was nervous because it had been so long since eating Chinese food.
Literal blessing from God 🙌🏻✝🕊
Absolutely delicious, got the sesame chicken and it was doggone good. I ate slowly at first waiting for any reaction. Then I ate quicker happily and never felt any symptoms or sickness.
The person who took the order was well acquainted with gluten free needs, I will be ordering again. And they are more than just a take out place, they are a full restaurant and they were packed.
*NOTE
Do not be afraid if you ask about cross contamination with your food and you don’t get a straight answer. They use cornstarch instead of flour!!!

They have multiple good GF options, I was able to say I have a celiac and they said I’d be safe. I tried their 2 types of dumpling, sesame chicken, green beans, general tso chicken, and egg drop soup, and hot tea without issue. I chose this option over Zhu’s due to multiple complaints I heard from celiac friends in the area who got sick there.

Really amazing Chinese food. I've eaten here many times in the past and never had an issue, the owner is super knowledgeable about gluten free and celiac, just make sure you specify :)

Was very skeptical but more than pleasantly surprised. Had the chicken steamed dumplings and the orange beef. So sad that I got the dumplings because that meant I didn’t have more room for the absolutely amazing orange beef. Server was a little flippant but knew what I was asking for as he brought gluten free dipping sauce for the dumplings. Will return for the general tso’s.

Talked to them about allergy and they said they fry everything GF with the chicken which is coated in cornstarch instead of flour. The food was amazing and everything is marked on the menu and very fair prices especially at lunch. (Edit summer 22: prices went up lol) Having celiac and getting this kind of food is hugely amazing. Note- I have celiac but sometimes if I have trace or small amounts of gluten I don’t get symptoms and I cannot tell when/if I was contaminated. I try my best to avoid at all costs but yeah, if you go I would let them know about the allergy and if you react please make a review here and/or tell them about it.

Service was slow and spotty. The dish we ordered gf came with raw beef and we had to send it back. pretty sure they didn't keep it gluten free on return as one person suffered celiac symptoms the next day even we kept asking if it was gf. Very limited menu for gluten free. Won't go again.

After the excellent reviews, we decided to give this place a try because I love (and miss) Chinese food. We ordered the GF Sweet & Sour Chicken, General Tso’s Chicken, Singapore Rice Noodles, and Shrimp Dumplings, and we mentioned multiple times our entire order should be gluten free. The meal was delicious, but that night, I started cramping and was in pain the whole next day. I chalked it up to the Moscow Mule drink I ordered (since I did not confirm that was Gluten free) and the day after that, when I was feeling better, I had some leftovers from dinner. Again, I began cramping and was in pain that afternoon until the following morning. I don’t know if they messed up my order or what, but now I’m afraid to eat here again, and I’m really bummed! (I have a gluten allergy, not celiacs.)

Gf sesame chicken, gf sweet and sour chicken, and order a “lo mein” with rice noodles and you have a delicious, pretend-you-aren’t-celiac Chinese food meal. We order from here frequently and never have issues. It is so good!

Authentic Chinese food that’s gluten free / celiac safe.... need I say more?! They are so sweet and know exactly what to do to make your meal gfree. Check out their online menu, items are marked gfree. The sesame chicken is delish!! Do not sleep on this place! They are incredible and it tastes so good it’s hard to believe it’s gfree.

Amazing food! I had the sesame chicken and it tasted just how i remember "real" Chinese food tasting but that much better. It was nice and crispy and portion sizes were huge. Can't wait til I'm back in the area to revisit this amazing place.

Ala Shanghai was a nice find, since GF Chinese is almost non-existent in this area. They have GF soy sauce and understand cross-contamination. The waiter we had was very knowledgeable and suggested the Chicken & Eggplant made with GF soy sauce. Excellent, and I didn't get sick. Definitely recommend!
