Food was great. When we told the waiter we were gluten free he understood. Instead of pita bread he brought us cucumber wedges for dipping. We had gotten there an hour before closing and they served us as if there was all the time in the world. It was clean, bright, and the staff was friendly, polite and patient. One of my friends had different allergies and they accommodated them without a hiccup.
Beware I’m going to sound pissed and that is simply bc I am lmao. I ordered through Uber eats. First, I called the restaurant just to confirm that what I was going to order was gluten free (stuffed grape leaves, falafel, and chicken shawarma which did NOT include pita in the description). They confirmed it was gluten free without the pita for the falafel appetizer. I put a note that said “gluten free - no pita bread please and thanks” the entree shawarma was in a pita wrap so I couldn’t eat any of it AND they had a side of pita bread for the falafel. I’m entering a quarter life crisis and dealing with this on my birthday is my tipping point.
Very good food, friendly and knowledgeable staff, willing to get it right. Much of the food here is gluten free already if they leave off the pita bread and is just seasoned with traditional spices. Waiter knew the exact spices/ingredients in the each dish we asked about. Ordered two dishes with salads and an appetizer. One salad came out with pita chips on it, but they quickly remade it and apologized. *Important, they MAY be able to do fried items (falafel, fried cauliflower, etc.), but it depends on if they've fried pita in their oil that day yet. The waiter knew to check with cook, and reported to us that the oil wouldn't be safe for us the day we were there. Based on another review, we brought a GF bagel to dip in the baba ganoush, but the cucumber slices they brought were delicious and fresh. The salad was also very fresh, crisp and vibrant. The food was flavorful. One dish didn't come out hot, but they quickly remedied this. We plan to return.
So good. Staff is so friendly. They make you feel like you are family.
A great place for the entire family. My kids love it when we stop in here for dinner. So happy we finally decided to stop in. Don't let the exterior fool you because the food they serve is amazing. It is in an odd little strip mall but the staff and owners are so kind and attentive and everything we've tried is delicious. We bring all our friends and family here now because we want everyone to know about it. The tzatziki sauce is yummy and dolmas are some of the best I've ever had. I'd never had baba ganoush until we visited here and now we have to get a large order of it every time and I still have a hard time sharing it with others. I have to eat gluten free so I ask for sliced cucumbers to dip in it and my husband actually enjoys doing that more than than the pita bread because it ads a nice crunch. If you don't feel like coming in and eating you can always call in an order to go.
