Menu has been updated recently with clearly marked GF items and expanded options beyond fajitas. I would continue to avoid the chips/fried items personally, but there is still plenty to eat. I got the steak fajitas but my tortillas were combined with flour from a family member within our big group. That being said, my waitress offered to get fresh corn tortillas in their own container without me asking first and confirmed any other allergy needs. I felt taken seriously and staff seemed knowledgeable and friendly.
They have a dedicated meal for celiacs! granted, they only have one option (chicken/beef/shrimp fajitas), but it’s pretty filling and really good (in my opinion haha). The chips are pretty safe now that they serve them in paper bags… i’m pretty reactive and i’ve been fine every time i eat there!
Very few options. Even the beans & rice are different. It was just “meh” for me & even the shredded chicken tasted dried out. Salsa was pretty good, but if you’re celiac you can’t have their just-OK chips; no dedicated fryer.
Won’t go back.
They do have a GF menu. But all the items on the GF menu are store-bought and then heated in the restaurant. It does not taste fresh (because it isn’t), their prices for such a meal are ridiculous. I can do that at home. Plus, every time I have eaten here, the waiters’ attitudes upon being informed that I am GF has made me feel as though I were an inconvenience and an annoyance- and I’ve been 5-10 times with a different waiter each time.
Very few options on gf menu. Only a couple things that might satisfy a Mexican food craving. A little pricey for the quality and quantity of food. At the Alsace Plate (I think is the name of the dish) was just grilled chicken with sauce, rice and beans. Nothing special. Service was okay. Didn't get sick. Prob wouldn't go back.
We were SO excited to dine here based on the other ratings, but although they do have a separate GF menu, we did not feel that it offered huge options- as many of the choices were simply diff. chicken entrees. So the options were basically chicken or shrimp entrees. We ended up choosing the shrimp fajitas & they were ok, the shrimp was not grilled at all & lacked flavor overall. For the prices, I honestly was not impressed.
Wonderful experience. Staff was knowledgable about gluten free dining. The service was excellent and the food was great. It was nice to find an inexpensive gf option.
I cannot say enough good about this place. If you can go on the first Wednesday of the month, it is "gluten free day" when the chef adds a ton of things to their regular gluten free menu. My favorite is the pollo half and half, with half cilantro crema and half chipotle crema. I really love their fresh made corn tortillas and their hot chips. The flan is also GF :-).
We called to see if they offered dairy free options as well and the staff member didn't know what we were talking about as far as GF and DF. Spoke with a female manager and she didn't know about the GF and DF either. She said the food is pre-made and shipped in so she couldn't tell us much about the ingredients. She did say they had corn tortillas but they were made on the same equipment as the flour. Disappointed.....
Loved their food before and even more now that I am on a gluten free diet for autoimmune disease. The food is delicious!!!
The owner and staff are very knowledgable about gluten intolerance, and have gluten-free options as part of the regular menu. Every Wednesday they have additional gluten-free options available. The safe tortilla chips are delicious and the outdoor dining is a place that I've taken visitors from out of town.
