It was overall good, but nothing amazing. I had the steak, wedge salad and baked potato. I was assured that it was all gluten free and that they would bring gf toast with the meal. (They did, it was udi’s and I only took one bite.) The steak was really good, I even liked the salad despite it being so simple. They only had two gluten free desserts…wish there was more options since they have like 14 options for the non-gluten free people. I think it’s worth trying just not as amazing as I heard others think it was. Pretty building:)
I wanted to love this place. They only have two entree options and for us GF people only 1 so I hope you like steak. The steak was very good but we went over it with them that I am GF and she said ok we won’t bring toast on your meal and they still did. They could make about 5 of the desserts GF which were the best part!
— Not very
— No gluten-free information on the menu
— Not Much
Quite a few options on the lunch menu, including smoked pork chop and bratwurst, as well as many salads. I had a salad and it was amazing. Save room for dessert. They have two that are gluten free by default and a couple of others that can be adjusted. Definitely worth a stop.
Salad was good. No GF bread but salad was worth it.
The wait was incredibly long and their methods for how to seat tables was unfortunate, however the food was good and I felt safe eating there. Was surprised when the waitress brought out Gfree bread with my meal.
Food was good but only two options as your meal if you eat at dinner. Celaic and had no issues.
We're on vacation and met up with some friends who recommended the Alpine Inn specifically because of my Celiac disease. They felt it would be the best and safest place in Hill City for me to be able to eat. Our server was awesome and knowledgeable, the food was amazing and, of course I HAD to have the creme brule for dessert. Our server was very quick to let me know what gf options they had for dessert. I'd eat there again any time I'm in the area and I highly recommend it to anyone else. Very Celiac friendly. I'm very impressed and have a very happy tummy!
Meh. Had gf options, but the waitress kind of gave me a blank stare. about it. It amounted to not serving the baguette with the meal.
We were here about a month ago for dinner and loved it! The salad with house dressing is so delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were great. The entree is served with a baked potato, and the place is extremely GF friendly. There are a couple of GF dessert options also. In fact, we went back a second night just for drinks and dessert - the raspberry white chocolate mousse was to die for! We will be returning next time we are in the Hills.
The steak dinner with the baked potato, and lettuce wedge as well as the ranch dressing are GF! The white chocolate mousse is as well, and it's delicious! :)
Very careful with celiacs. Always get the chipotle chicken sandwich without the bread. Potato salad is gluten free. For their dinner, I get their steak and salad with ranch and baked potato and everything is gf. They also have a couple of gf desserts - the raspberry mousse is awesome!
Dinner is the easiest option, just ask then to the leave the bread off, even their dressing is GF. lunch options change and you will need to ask. they have been very knowledgeable in the past. they even have two desert options!
They "ran out" of GF bread a week or so ago and the waitress told me I could eat a salad! We left. :( Oh, and if you stay to eat your salad, you need to know they only take cash.
They were very accommodating and the main menu can have toast removed to make gf.
