We had a great meal. The chips and salsa are GF (and awesome). I really enjoyed my “burrito salad bowl” with carnitas. It came with some chips, so it turns out we didn’t need a separate order after all. Highly recommend for gluten free 👍🏽
Staff was knowledgable about what dishes were safe. They do have a shared fryer, but there are still many options for celiac. I ordered the enchiladas, and also snacked on the popcorn, had no issue.
The gluten-free options are very limited
Very few truly gluten free options. Many options are contaminated by shared fryer. There is no dedicated fryer, so chips, street fries and anything fried are not gluten free. We can't understand how they can make Mexican food taste so bland. My husband's scallops and shrimp dish was one scallop, three shrimp, and a pile of breading. My carnitas tacos were greasy and dry at the same time. A three year old child's quesadilla & lemonade were $16.
Very surprised to see a bad review about Ama, it's true the menu doesn't specifically show items as being gluten free but we always enjoy a Guacamole Appetizer, Tacos with corn tortillas & Street Fries, we also love the Hangar Steak Fajitas & have found the staff to be attentive & understanding of celiac/gluten intolerance.
