Owners wife has celiac, so the severs are knowledgeable and menu is well marked. Chips are made in the beginning of the day, so make sure to ask for GF chips as they are separate from the usual chips in the shared fryer. I get the fajitas and nachos and both have been really good and safe! Prices aren’t crazy either which is a bonus!
The owner has celiac disease
I decided to try Amigos after reading the reviews and seeing their statement about being gluten allergy accommodating on their web site. I am very disappointed. I told the hostess I was gluten intolerant up front. She added fries to my order, but then I asked her to cancel them because I clarified that they don’t have a dedicated fryer. I waited a LONG time for my take out order. When I got home the French fries were piled up all over the food, rendering it inedible for me.
Menu is well marked with gluten-free options, and they apparently do have a dedicated fryer so you can get chips, nachos, etc. I have been there countless times. Excellent margaritas. My only complaint would be service can be slow at times, and sometimes you catch them on a bad day and the food is not so great and the service not so great but I would say 75% of the time we are happy there
I definitely appreciate that they have gluten-free chips which a lot of Mexican places don't. The nachos are a good bet and very filling. Some of the best margaritas around. Good kids menu and ice cream is included for the kids. Probably my kids favorite place to go in the area. The gluten-free mac & cheese on the kids menu is outstanding
Used to go weekly. It was my go to spot. Got sick a couple of times. Was willing to forgive and re- educate. Had to remind them not to just take croutons off the salad, also think they gave me bad mushrooms. Got a special pasta dish and was definitely glutenized. I think they are not as careful in the kitchen as they used to be. Too bad.
The food was great, staff was knowledgeable, reasonable prices, and nice atmosphere. Food plates were huge!
Excellent gluten free options. One of the owner's is Celiac, staff has a lot of knowledge about gluten free. Although heir customer service skills are sometimes shotty.
Just had one of the worse dining experiences of my life. Within 5 minutes the bartender spilled my husbands beer in my soda. When I said that was a problem because I am gluten free he said that is was not a gluten free restaurant with the most attitude I have ever been given by a server. I guess they should remove all the Gluten free items from there menu then. This is such a shame since this use to be an outstanding and safe place to eat.
I live in southern NH and this place is my go to! I have never had a single issue. There are so many options and they are all delicious. The staff is very knowledgable and friendly and it the one place I don't feel self-conscious placing my extremely picky order. I am also allergic to dairy and vegetarian, and there are still tons of options for me :) I recommend the mexican rice as your side because it is soooo good!
Large selection of GF items to chose from. Big portions! Even the tasty piece of gf carrot cake was big enough for 2! I would def go back again.
Extensive GF menu and knowledgeable staff but food was not that good. They served us brown guacamole.
