Yummy! Have to eat dairy free (in addition to gluten free) and had 8-10 options. Long wait and pricey, but worth it!
Green dots mark the vegan options, but, as another reviewer mentioned, other allergens are marked on the back of the labels for staff to see.
They do warn of risk of cross contamination since all their gelato is made on the same machines, but they are VERY clean otherwise (saw them wiping in between flavors and scooping out contamination when mixed MANY times). Each flavor has its own scoop also, so as far as non-dedicated GF ice cream shops go, this is close to as good as it gets. I stuck to flavors in front to limit risk of CC.
Delicious and knowledgeable staff answered questions. They used fresh gloves. They do use the same equipment but they clean it before making GF gelato. Absolutely fabulous gelato. No issues with my celiac.
They were very honest and said that nothing here is celiac- safe. 5 stars for the honesty, much appreciated. Everything is made in the same machine and lots of the flavors contain gluten. So despite having separate spoons in each flavor and several GF flavors, it's still a high risk of cross contamination according to the employee, who asked if I have celiac (and clearly understood).

I asked about gf options- I got coquito & strawberry in a cup. My non gf husband went first and the worker was kind enough to change gloves (I didn’t ask). The worker also let me know there’s a chance of cross contamination with the spoons and the flavors themselves but that they clean the barrel they use to make the gelato between flavors. I’m highly gluten intolerant and had no reaction
This place must be popular. The line was super long and it was later at night. Important note: the GF items are marked to where only the staff can see them. They’re marked on the back of the labels. Just ask them if a flavor is GF and they’ll tell you. Each ice cream flavor had its own scoop and the handles are long so you didn’t have to worry about the staff cross contaminating it with their gloves. He did inform me that there could be CC in preparation but I didn’t get sick. This is a must for those craving ice cream.
Didn’t feel super safe but based on the other reviews, went for a sorbet. Felt a little risky but it was delicious and I didn’t get sick. GF items were marked but only in a way employees would easily be able to see.
Like the other review, I also confirmed that the vegan sorbets are GF, but there’s a lot of potential for cross contamination.
Our server said they don’t take any precautions to prevent cross contamination. We watched them scoop gelato into cones. Our server said she recommends celiacs not to eat here.
The staff understood what gluten free means. The server changed her gloves before serving me to scold any cross contamination.
We were so excited to get ice cream here based on these reviews. There was a line down the block, we waited 45 minutes to get to the front and when we explained to our server that our 6yo was GF from celiac she said that they could NOT guarantee no cross contamination as the same machine was used to make ALL the gelato. At this point my son (and honestly, almost me too as we really struggled in PR to find GF food) burst into big sobbing tears. She then clarified that the vegan based sorbets were made after the machines were power washed and all of the sorbets were GF ingredients…sigh. Given this, we were ok trying the sorbet. But man, double check this if you go here because the non-vegan gelato may not be as safe as some think.
The gelato was incredible! The server I spoke to was very well informed and helpful. All of the flavors are labeled with allergens on the back, which makes things very easy, and each flavor has its own scoop. She cleaned the scoops to minimize any cross contact from touching a cone. There were an incredible amount of options too, which is always a bonus!

Very clean and aware of allergens. Each flavor has its own spoon. I got limoncello and pistachio. Just remind them no cookie with it.

Go to this place, ask what flavors are gf, and tell them right away that you DO NOT want a cookie! The gelato here is fantastic and the gluten free and dairy free status of each one is labeled on the back of the sign with the name of the flavor so the servers can see it but you cannot. Their signature move is to top your gelato with a cookie. So be sure to explain your allergy and tell them you do not want a cookie. My server topped mine with a dab of strawberry gelato for a flourish. I had the white chocolate coconut almond flavor along with limoncello. I also tried the coquito flavor which was extra special. All of the flavors I tried were delicious and I did not get sick! It gets crowded but there is extra seating on the back. Enjoy!
The gelato was amazing!!! They had a LOT of gluten free flavors that were safe, and so many it was hard to choose from. I didn’t have a chance to ask the server to change her gloves but I didn’t have any negative reactions. She certainly would have if I would have asked though. Make sure you treat yourself while in San Juan!
This place is awesome and offers many gluten free choices along with some dairy free, sugar free, and vegan. Our server was so helpful and double-checked each of my choices. She even made sure to warn me that they use the same machines in case I was celiac (I am not). Awesome gelato.

Really yummy and delicious gelato. Staff will change their gloves if you ask. No gf indications on the menu but they will answer questions about ingredients. Ask for no wafer cookie.
