I’ve been going here regularly for the past few months and it is officially the only breakfast spot I trust in Kalamazoo. They’re serious about their precautions and never dismissive about questions. I’m still nervous to get anything that has obvious gluten alternatives like toast or pancakes, but I’m working up to it. Hash browns, eggs, and fruit is my go-to order. It always comes out from a separate kitchen and is clearly marked. One time the server messed up putting in the order and it came out unmarked, I asked about it and she apologized profusely, remade my order, and gave a significant discount. All my family members that I’ve dragged here find food they enjoy as well. Really can’t go wrong with this place, they’re amazing.
This place is wonderful! Me and my celiac boyfriend are always in the lookout for great gf restaurants. SO many gf options and the menu states "GFO" and "GF". Has a separate kitchen space for gf items. Food came out marked with an allergy pick. Server was knowledgeable and when we asked for a gf item, she asked if it was an allergy or preference to be extra safe. Would recommend to anyone!
Servers were super knowledgeable and kind! Tons of GF variety and I felt super safe. I got some pancakes that my non-celiac family liked more than their own pancakes! It’s been a couple hours and I am definitely not sick! 10/10 would definitely recommend to any celiac.
soooo yummy get the breakfast lasagna trust. so many options and my food came out marked as allergy
Excellent waitress who was very informed about celiac. Extensive GF menu with many options to choose from! Some of the best bacon i have ever had!
I am GF and DF and this place is awesome. Wide range of choices incl vegan, DF, and GF. They have a separate kitchen the manager made my breakfast, Annas skillet bowl and altered it with DF cheese! They also have GF DF cinnamon rolls. Other GF options incl pancakes, waffles, and toast. My server Cora was very attentive to my dietary needs and my choices/ options to accommodate. Highly recommended!!!
They have a separate allergy kitchen, and the server was very knowledgeable. The decor was fun and food yummy.
Many gluten free options including a gluten free cinnamon roll! I had the famous breakfast lasagna (really good), my husband had the hippie hash (it was ok), and my son had eggs, potatoes, gf pancakes and gf toast!
New waitress (i think).... my daughter and I shared a burger and had it cut in half. (I am not GF)
I took the first bite and she asked how it was. I said good, this GF bun is excellent.... the waitress was close by so I asked if the bun was really GF. She came back out and said it was not.... What the heck??!!? They remade the burger and when they brought it out I asked about separate cooking areas... she said they did have a separate toaster for the bread. And a separate grill top for Celiac...needless to say we had them redo her burger for a second time...because apparentlythey did not do that on the redo.
(We had already decided not to have the fries because of cross contamination due to gluten things also being used in the same fryer)
My favorite go to breakfast/brunch spot. They have so many options and can make almost everything on the menu gluten free. They even have a separate work space in the kitchen for gluten free.
I love this place! You can order GF and vegan here and it's delicious food. I let them know that I have Celiac and they used separate cookware, utensils, and packaged it beautifully. So happy!
The gf selection at this restaurant was really great! The food was delicious! I had a cinnamon bun which was a big treat! The BLT was good, fries not gf but chips were.
The owners daughter has celiac disease so the entire staff is very knowledgeable. The GF items are marked on the main menu and they have a separate menu for vegan options. I got the french toast and a GF cinnamon roll. The food was to die for. as was the service. They informed me they had an entirely separate kitchen for GF and that the manager cooks the food himself and delivered it to our table.
Very extensive gluten free menu. Lots of awesome breakfast options traditional and not. They were knowledgeable and very clear about their procedures. They use a separate prep space. Happy to accommodate celiacs. Do not miss this brunch! I had the cinnamon roll and corned beef hash. My boyfriend had the gf pancakes with bananas and berries and said they were best pancakes ever.
18 months ago I ordered a gluten free breakfast which included pancakes. Despite advising the server that I have celiac disease I was served an item that was gluten filled. I became extremely ill, almost to the point of requiring hospitalization to rehydrate. I am almost 60 years old and find vomiting for three hours straight to be more than sufficient grounds to avoid risking my life at Anna’s. I will not be returning to the Kalamazoo or any other Anna’s.
We’re just a gluten intolerance, so didn’t ask about cross-contamination, but I like that the gf items cane out with a little stick labeling them
A lot of gluten free breakfast options! The gf cinnamon role is delicious.
Love Anna’s House. Been to the one on Plainfield in Grand Rapids, and today the one in Kalamazoo. The food was great both times. Both times I felt very safe eating here. They have a dedicated kitchen for allergies to prevent cc. Today our server was Connor and he was fantastic. He double checked everything and even came back to adjust the order when things we ordered didn’t fit our needs. He was wonderful about making sure we were safe 😁. We had to wait a little longer because something that may have been unsafe was put on the plate, so they remade it 🥰. The assistant manager even came out to apologize for the wait and explain that the food was remade. I REALLY appreciate that they both made sure we got safe food. I appreciate the effort 100% , didn’t mind the extra wait at all, and love that there are places (and people) that make you feel safe to eat outside your home.
Delicious food, huge number of gluten free options, and knowledgeable staff.
Amazing gluten free breakfast. Many items on the menu were either GF or could be GF. Waitress was very knowledgeable. We definitely go back!
Fantastic!! What a treat to open a menu and find numerous, delicious things to choose from!!! I felt totally safe eating there. Wish we lived closer!!!
Had the Corned Beef Hash with Gluten Free Toast. Very yummy. Lots of GF Options!
Great place! The owners daughter has celiac disease, so they are extremely precautious about cross contamination. They have a separate kitchen space, toaster, and waffle maker. Love Anna’s!
Have a dedicated celiac/gf section of their kitchen. Waitstaff was incredibly helpful and willing to look at labels.
GF French toast was very good!
Great place for GF food. Server came out to ask us about our order to make sure they got it all GF
Lots of options, fantastic gf pancakes, potatoes are gf, many vegan/gf options. Great consistent restaurant
Separate kitchen and food is marked with tab. Lots of gluten free options and somethings they can make gluten free. Food is delicious and will be back. My son had no reactions
So thankful for Anna’s house!! Good safe food!!!
