Gluten free pancakes are some of the best I’ve had! Reasonable priced too, and comes with eggs and a side. Genuinely filled me up. Friendly staff too!
Awesome spot! Our waitress suffered from multiple food allergies so assured us she'd make sure everything was safe and immediately told us not to get the potatoes due to cross communication. My son got to eat gluten free chocolate chip pancakes that were delicious. We had eggs, bacon, chicken sausage, grilled bread and fresh fruit. Highly recommend!
Celiac extremely sensitive I would highly recommend. They have their own gluten free pancake recipe. They were delicious. The staff was extremely knowledgeable of Celiac and the issues of cross contamination. I ordered two eggs and sausage patties. Best breakfast ever. No issues at all!
Best Gluten Free pancakes I’ve ever had!
Lovely little brunch place with very knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Gluten free menu available with a good selection including pancakes, omelettes, burgers and more!
I had the pancakes which were incredible and they came out with a little stick in to mark that they were gluten free.
Highly recommend!
This was our forst time in Clearwatwr and we found Another Broken Egg on the Find me gluten free app. Denise was so helpful and recommended some delightful menu items! So good and would definitely recommend! The pancakes were delicious!
Came here after reading all the wonderful reviews on here, and we were not disappointed. Huge gluten free menu with not only kind staff, but so incredibly knowledgeable about celiac disease. My waitress, Denise, promised the pancakes would be amazing, and even told my non celiac bf to try mine and then his and see how similar they tasted! She was so right, pancakes were delicious!! So fluffy and not gritty like normal gf pancakes. My boyfriend told me that his and mine tasted practically the same and he would’ve never known mine were gluten free. Sausage was also SO GOOD. I was so impressed and would definitely eat here again, ask for Denise to be your waitress when you come!! Overall, 10/10! :)
Ordering from this restaurant couldn’t be easier as they have a site to look at the menu and order ahead. The food was terrific and there’s definitely enough food to keep you full until lunchtime. The chef was more than accommodating to whatever was needed and very polite . There are some downsides though, when attempting to call the restaurant an automated answering service picks up. Pressed the options to speak to the host as well as to place an order and there was no answer. I left a voicemail as well to make sure they are aware one of the orders was to be subbed with gf but there was no call back. When picking up the food, there was no indication of which one would be gluten free or “friendly” as they state on their site. When asked, a gentleman stated “if you ordered gluten free, then it’ll be gluten free.” Asked if he could show which is gluten free and opened the first box. He immediately stated that was the one. Asked the hostess to ask the chef about the order. When the chef came out, he stated that NEITHER were made gluten free and that he would need to remake it as the notes on the online ordering do not go to the kitchen. The chef remade the order to be gluten free and offered apologies with it. I thanked him for being cautious with the order and thanked the hostess for doing do diligence as to make sure my wife would not get sick. I would say just be extra cautious with this restaurant. Though the food is truly great, make sure what you’re ordering especially if you’re subbing pancakes like I did is actually gluten free or again “friendly”
pancakes & homemade sausage patties were really good! separate gluten free menu with a decent amount of options
The absolute best gluten free pancakes ever! They have an entire brunch and cocktail menu dedicated to gluten free options. The best breakfast in Clearwater!!
My 9 yr old son and I have celiac. I had a veggie omelette with corn grits which was great! My son had plain GF pancakes which he really liked. We both get very sick from gluten and we were completely fine hours after our meal. They said the GF bread is toasted in same toaster as gluten bread but not at the same time. I didn’t take my chances on the toast. With the pancakes they said they wipe down the griddle before using for GF pancakes. We both ate the pancakes and had no cross contamination issue. Highly recommend! The coffee was great too. Overall, it’s a nice friendly, clean place to have breakfast!
OUTSTANDING! AND gluten allergy safe! I thought about just hanging around all day and eating there for every meal. I mean, who wouldn't LOVE Bourbon Pecan (fluffy) GF Pancakes topped with banana slices? Or GF Pancakes topped with blueberries, lemon zest and goat cheese crumbles, doused with syrup? How about crab and eggs Florentine --and how about homemade breakfast sausage patties whose flavors are a vacation in itself?! I'm seriously gluten sensitive and react to the most minute amount of gluten. No reaction - either time we ate there. Service was fantastic, coffee was delish!
Mimosa!!! I really liked that they even had the drink menu marked with what was gluten free. Our waitress was awesome and very knowledgeable about preparation and cross contamination. My husband is newly diagnosed celiac so he was very nervous about travel. He had an omlete and I had gluten free bourbon pancakes. I also had the lemon blueberry mimosa!!
So good! We visited twice while in Tampa. Decent portions...actually couldn't finish. First day, got the Bourbon GF pancakes which came with 2 eggs and a few different meat choices (I got their homemade sausage). Second day, I got their bacon/chorizo omelettte. It came with grits and GF toast. The grits were okay. I would of preferred their breakfast potatoes but they said even though they're GF, they aren't 100% safe from cross contact. My family (can have gluten) enjoyed their food, too.
The food was good and they have a separate menu. The only issue I ran into was after specifying it was an allergy, my food came out with a non gluten free English muffin on the plate touching my eggs. After letting the waitress know she offered to just take it off the plate for me but I had to specify that I needed my whole meal to me remade because of cross contamination. The manager came out and apologized and brought me my food the next time around!
I got original pancakes and they were very good! The waitress did a good job with questions as well. Only complaint was that the host was very rude and wouldn’t acknowledge you speaking to him, such as when we asked for the gluten free menu. The gluten free menu itself is huge and had lots of options.
Editing my review as I came back for the second time this week. I had pancakes again and once again I loved them. This time the host was a younger gentleman and was very helpful. The waitstaff was amazing as well and my pancakes came out with toothpicks indicating gluten free. Very happy with the service and food here today.
While visiting Clearwater, we ate at the restaurant twice. The first time was excellent and was able to eat bananas fosters dollar pancakes (server put in a special request) and omelet with the city grits. Second time, English muffin came with meal, I didn’t send back just ate the part of the omelette furthest away and removed from my plate. Manager noticed and came to speak me and wanted to make it right and said they take celiac and allergies very seriously. Highly recommend and Denise is an awesome server. Delicious blood Mary’s. Note, shared toaster, but I was told their gluten friendly bread tastes really good.
Amazing. Seriously. I am gluten free, along with my two daughters, ages 8 and 4. As you can imagine, finding gf options that they want is hard. This place is amazing. They make their own gf pancakes, toast, sausage, etc.. No frozen udi’s here. My husband is not gf, and he said it was the best breakfast he has ever had. I wish I lived here so we could make this our regular place! You will not be disappointed!
The food is delicious! They do have a Gluten Friendly menu. With that said, you still have to ask about sauces and the way it is being prepared. Depending on your server, they will go out of the way to make sure you are safe. We ate here twice. The first time was busy, and the waitress seemed bothered by my questions and was not willing to ask the kitchen to prepare my meal safely. Hulk Hogan comes here...so, you may just get a chance to see him. The coffee is worth coming for...even if you do not eat anything.
Amazing. This place has a large menu of options. Not often can I get pancakes out. Got banana foster pancakes that were the best I’ve ever had!
This place has a gluten friendly menu which states that there may be some cross contamination so it's not a gluten free place. For breakfast, I had the Traditional Day Starter whick was pretty good. I chose the scrambled eggs, oven baked bacon, gf grits and gf pancakes. The pancakes were ok, they fell apart and definitely needed syrup but everything else was pretty good.
As an employee here who also has celiac disease I can say with certainty that while there are amazing “gluten friendly” options for people who just prefer to eat gluten free or have a sensitivity- there is nothing I would feel safe eating as someone with celiac disease. Cross contamination is inevitable here and that is why the gluten free options are just labeled “gluten friendly” so choose wisely. A great cafe and great people- but not for sensitive celiacs
They have a dedicated gluten-free menu and ensure that it is brought out separately. I loved the Bourbon Street Pancakes(three gluten-free pancakes topped with bananas, pecans, and a rum butter sauce); they were amazing! It came with my choice of meat and 2 eggs cooked to order; I ordered the sausage patty. I also tried the City Grits and they were delicious as well.
