We ate at Anthony's twice while visiting Tacoma, both times our servers were knowledgeable and able to provide plenty of GF options for adults and kids. Gf options are clearly marked on the menu but recommended to inform the server of celiac so they know to be super careful with cross contact. Fries are not in a dedicated frier but they did crispy baked potato wedges as an alternative. Easy night out with no problems, tasty food and beautiful location 🙂
My husband and I enjoy the upstairs restaurant Sunset Dinner: $33 for 3 courses M-F before 5:30 pm. We go when the weather is beautiful and hope to be seated (first come first serve) on the outside deck, where we have a view of the marina, public walkway, Puget Sound Express dock, ferries in the Sound, float planes overhead, and the picnic tables and children’s sandbox below. We have several choices for each course , with gluten-free noted on the menu. My favorite is the Caesar salad appetizer (hold the croutons) and either the salmon and shrimp entrée or the portobello mushroom and mashed potatoes entrée. No question about my favorite dessert: Bailey’s Irish cream chocolate mousse. I enjoy the servers, but they are overworked, so the service is very slow: takes us about 2 1/2 hours to get through dinner. A pleasant experience on a gorgeous day.
Not a good experience for me last night. Waitress appeared to be newer and not pleasant. Advised of extreme sensitivity to gluten and MSG. She was not familiar with gf issues so I asked to talk to the chef. She came back and said they were too busy. So I ordered salmon plain with NO seasonings and a baked potato. 14 minutes into the meal I was very sick. Do not recommend!
