They are GREAT when it comes to accommodating to my allergies. But the food isn’t good. The chicken tacos I got had no flavor and were too sweet believe it or not. Beans weren’t good and the rice was bland. Guac and chips and the drinks were really good!
Otherwise, this is a safe place to eat. At least for me. Food isn’t worth the price. Go somewhere else if u can.
They had several gluten free options on the menu and a manager came out to ensure that my order would not affect with my allergies. The food and service was amazing and the serving sizes were large. The table side guacamole is delicious and worth it if you’re a fan of guacamole.
Great food and experience! The server was very knowledgeable and helpful. The manager came out to speak to me as well to make sure that my order was gluten free. The menu was not fully up to date as far as gluten free options though. The mole was listed as safe, but the server and manager informed us that they are updating their recipes and have not yet updated their menus. Otherwise, fun experience!
Menu has labeled dishes as GS (gluten sensitive). Waitresses understood need for separate fries and told me the chips that came out first were cooked in a separate fryer and safe for those with Celiac disease. The manager brought my food out with my food allergy he called it in mind.
My wife made it clear to the manager that I was celiac. 20 minutes after eating I felt the ill effects of gluten poisoning, rather a strong reaction. My order went thru the manager first before being ordered. Not exactly sure which item was the culprit. I had the chicken nachos and ate lots of tortilla chips.
Share the fryer all the time you have to ask. So if you like making your kid sad while she watches friends and family eat chips you should go. The chips they bring you for GF now are stale and gross. Even the rest of the food was disappointing. The soup that used to be GF is now NOT but still says it. So be careful. It’s “thickened” …. Also it’s so thick it doesn’t move. It’s like a weird chili. I’d skip it now. Used to be good.
Make sure you check the chips. We were told they were “not gf today”. I ordered the tortilla soup which is still marked gs on the menu and the manager said no, don’t do it, they changed the recipe. Food that was safe after that was just okay, taste wise. This used to be one of our favorite spots but we won’t be going back.
We had a great meal here. We made a 4pm reservation and they sent a chef to talk to us. Chef Antonio Perez was fantastic! 6 out of 10 in our group had a variety of allergies and he talked us through all the options we could eat. He came out and checked on us during the meal and even sent 1 guest extra sides for her fajitas. Will definitely come back next time we visit Orlando!
Server was knowledgeable and very helpful. Orders beef nachos and a fajita. She brought out corn tortillas instead of flour. Both were very good. She also said that their is a dedicated fryer for the tortilla chips. Also had a sweet potato flan. It was just ok. Tasted like pumpkin pie with no crust. Overall a great experience.
We ate there two nights in a row and had different meals that were great! On the first night our server Chesleah was great and knew exactly what to do with 3 celiacs. A supervisor came over to confirm our order and what we needed. The guacamole made at the table was fabulous! The second night we ate at the bar upstairs bc the dining room was full. Michael and Taylor took great care of us and the watermelon margarita was gf and yummy!
This was by far the best experience we’ve had since going GF (after Celiac diagnosis). When we arrived, the chef came our table and explained how all of the food is prepared, giving us a way to enjoy almost anything on the menu. The food and ambiance were amazing. This place is top-notch.
Wow! What can’t I say about this place. They are great! They have a dedicated fryer for their tortilla chips, and even though the fajitas were not labeled GF (because of the flour tortillas) I was able to substitute those for corn and was good to go! I love this place. They look out for you!
One of the BEST dining experiences we’ve had. When we asked about Gluten-free options, our server asked if it was due to an allergy or celiac. He then showed us, on the menu how to identify all the gluten-free items. The fryer, however, is not dedicated gluten-free but he informed us of that prior to ordering. Great food & good service. We highly recommend!
Amazing! Reserve a spot ahead of time by calling or using their online reservation service. Lots of gluten free options and vegetarian options! The corn tortilla chips are fried in a separate fryer and are gluten free! We were disappointed in the guacamole but my tacos were PERFECT. Highly recommend! 👏🏻
Has the beef tacos. The guacamole is dairy free. Just tell the waiter/waitress your allergies and they will relay this to the chef. They take special care to make sure they check that each item in the entree is gluten free (or other allergen free) and tell you. Very impressed! Highly recommend.
I was excited after reading the reviews but was very disappointed In my experience. Waitress kept a using words like “should be” safe and I had to ask her to speak to the chef about gluten free options because she was going to leave me with the should be’d and maybes. . I mentioned that others received special chips to avoid corse contamination and she told me she didn’t know what I was talking about. Highly dissatisfied
The waitress stated that the tortilla chips have cross contamination from the fryer so she would break up other GF corn chips from something else (in other reviews). They are not as tasty and do taste somewhat stale-ish (might just be how they are made). I ate them because I thought the salsa was very good. Also she brought me a salsa dish all for me so that the other guests at my table wouldn’t dip the glutenous chips in the salsa and contaminate it.
I ate the Cochinita Tacos that another reviewer recommended and they were very good. The chef came out and took my order and the food was out extremely quickly. I liked the sweet and spicy BBQ sauce and pickled onions that came on the tacos. It was a tasty meal and I would recommend as well.
The cocktails are flavorful but the handcrafted ones don’t have much alcohol. Get a margarita if you want more bang for your buck in that department. We went on a Sunday night and they had a Mexican band. They were very modern and played all genres of music but with a Mexican flare. It was highly entertaining.
My family had great service here. The server was very genuine and brought the Sous chef over to address my celiac concerns. Chef Chadwick Scott was very helpful explaining what I could or couldn’t have in dishes. I ended up asking him for a recommendation. He suggested the Taco Cochinita, substituted for corn tortillas. They were fantastic!
This was a great experience. The waitstaff ensured my celiac was taken seriously. They had the chef come speak to me about sage options. Not only did they prepare my meal to prevent cross contamination, but also brought out pre-packages tortilla chips so there was no contamination. Food was delicious, margarita was delicious. Atmosphere was phenomenal. I’ll be back before the week is over.
Loved this restaurant. When we told the server that we had a diner with celiac, she explained the menu (and confirmed the chips and salsa are GF) and said she’d have the chef come out to talk about options and to see if he needed to adapt anything to suit our GF needs. The manager came shortly after and assured us that they have procedures and protocol for GF diners. The chef then arrived with an allergy notepad and took my son’s order and assured us he would personally oversee his order. The manager delivered the food. There were plenty of GF options and the food and service were great. I highly recommend Antojitos for GF dining!
