Cider was great. Fries were great. Overall experience was of a new business that hadn’t quite worked out the kinks. They were out of some things. Menus were only available online but we couldn’t connect to wifi. Our food didn’t come out even remotely close to the same time. Server was not that confident on what was GF so really relied more on what I read online ahead of time.

This had been on my list to try for awhile, it being a cider establishment with what looked like a pretty good GF menu. Unfortunately, when we arrived, half of their menu had been redacted as they prepared for a change to their summer menu which cut the GF options down to a few items (salads being most of them). We ordered GF apps (fried Brussels, marinated olives and a basket of fries - dedicated fryer!) and those were all great! I should have just stuck with apps. After choosing an entree, I had to re-choose as they were out of a main component of the dish. I got a grilled cheese on GF bread and when it arrived, the bread looked and felt as if it hadn’t seen any sort of heat source beyond a microwave. No golden brown crispy toasting, no color at all, and soggy. My caesar salad was a handful of romaine with a drizzle of garlicky olive oil. Our server was amazing, the apps were awesome but I think we just caught them during a changeover for the menu so the dining portion was a little meh. Maybe we’ll try again in the summer?

They have SAFE gluten free chicken and gluten free waffles for Sunday brunch! No chance with cross contamination with the waffles since they’re all gluten free and the gluten free fried chicken is in a separate fryer. They have good options during the week as well, including fries with your choice of dipping sauces. Also, lots of cider options to have with your meal. Add this one to your list of places to eat.

What a great place! The menu is clearly marked and the staff knows to take allergies/celiac seriously. The fries are fried in a dedicated fryer to prevent cross-contamination. No reaction, just great food and drinks!

Online menu gives more insight to gf options but Ash & Elm has been very intentional about posting their offering on social media for gluten allergies, celiac, etc which makes me feel so much more safe about eating there. Even when I made an epipen on hand joke (not joking) she made sure to let me know everything was safe. Another server though said 1 cider was potentially not gf but she did not clarify which one - she assured me it was none of the options I had on my flight! Salad was huge and fries were delightful. Really wish they would add a “gf” tooth pick of some sort to add that extra ease though!

I’ve had their cider before but just recently ate here for dinner. While this place is good for gf, it is not dedicated gf but have some good offerings. The menu isn’t huge and it may change seasonally. When I asked about a sandwich and how the bread is toasted, prepared etc, a waitress told me that when they mark the meal as GF it is prepared separately and everything is separate so that was good. I had a turkey sandwich and fries. Dedicated fryer. They use Native Bread GF bread. They don’t have a cider tasting flight on the menu, but you can get one if you ask for it so you can try different ones!

Yummy food! Love that they had a dedicated fryer. I literally said, “I have celiac disease,” and the server explained their protocols and that she would tell them to change gloves before touching my food. The ciders are all GF too. Also, the space is very open & inviting.

The food was good, though the gluten free food options were fairly limited. I would’ve loved to see pasta alternatives. Otherwise it’s great!

My girlfriend has celiac disease, and this is one of the only places in Indy we truly trust to be gluten free, and it's a plus that the food is SO good. Fried chicken! French fries! Delicious cider! Brussels sprouts! We love it here and it's an absolute game-changer that they have a gf fryer.

Their new location is awesome! They are familiar with celiacs (the chef has a family member with it) and take it very seriously. They even have a dedicated fryer and most items are GF or can be made gluten free. All their ciders are amazing too! Get the cider of the month.

Told them I had a severe allergy (celiac), and they took amazing care of me. I'll definitely be back! I tasted several ciders, and I had to have their Apple Cheddar Melt. 10/10 for my expectations! I went while they hosted the Cold Case Chronicles podcasters, and it was busy!

Great food! Amazing craft cider! Trendy space. All the drinks are GF and there’s GF bread for pretty much any entree on the menu. If you tell them you have celiac or an allergy, they’ll prepare the sandwich specially. Eat where multiple times a month and have never had a problem! They do small batch craft cider releases once a month and this place is packed!!!
