absolutely amazing! i am extremely sensitive to gluten and did not get sick. this was my first time trying gluten free fried chicken and they did an incredible job in making it! make sure you call ahead of time so they can make gluten free mac and cheese and corn bread if you would like that. one of the best restaurants i’ve been to! staff is incredibly kind as well!
Super friendly staff - just call ahead for gf options, even if you’re dining in, because she doesn’t always have the materials, but is SUPER SWEET and will send someone to the store for you. Can not wait to eat my gf fried chicken!! **BEST FRIED CHICKEN, MAC N CHEESE, CORNBREAD. You’d never know it was GF. Cannot wait to go back. (I’m super sensitive and I didn’t get sick at all - just a very full belly! 😂)
I wish I could give this place 0 stars. It took 2 and a half hours from start to finish to get our food. Ugh. We started out by ordering calimari (they were out) Then...an hour after we ordered, the chef came out and told us they were out of asparagus. Our water and teas were empty at that point and 3 other tables who had arrived just before or after us had been served their food. The chef came out and said she would take off an appetizer. Then, another hour later, 2 meals (out of 7) came. It was another 20 -30 mins before the rest of the tables food came out. Still.. no water. We literally asked 10 times for water. I understand that good food takes time, but the food was awful. An hour later, I had horrendous pain in my stomach (food poisoning). I had to go home from and evening out with friends to spend the night by the toilet. Calling the health dept tomorrow. This place is disgusting... oh and as we were leaving the table next to us was served calimari. I have worked in the restaurant biz... not a snob, not a jerk...asked politely for things and was treated like trash. Left us thinking...wtf? Why is this place in business?!?! as for gluten free.... the food is not good. Fried chicken with no flavor.
AMAZING PLACE! celiac friendly, and they really know how to do southern food right. I grew up in Louisiana and have missed southern cooking, especially after having to go gluten free, but I got the fried chicken, vegan mashed potatoes, and green beans. I was very impressed, and I ate it all! They even had gluten free cornbread! definitely going back again soon!
So delicious and accommodating! I had vegan gf tofu nuggets, collard greens, and fries and my husband had barbequed fried chicken, collard greens, and candied yams. The food was out of this world delicious! Vegan, dairy free options available. :-)
Mothers Day Buffet was incredible! When I made my reservation I told them we were gluten free... I'd been here before a few months ago... the first time I've had fried chicken in 12 years!!! They are so sweet, family atmosphere and are even giving us gf corn muffins to take home. Thank toyAt the Table for being here in AP! See you soon.
