Disney is fantastic with allergies, and Aulani continues that tradition. Ate dinner at Makahiki, got shaved ice in a cup at Papalua, got my own gluten-free bento box for the luau, and had yummy spam musubi (must order the day before), brownies (must order the day before), and açaí bowls at Ulu cafe.

Done at every restaurant here and was impressed with each. Disney do make an effort for allergies and it shows. Recommended.

March 2022: I honestly don’t understand why there are bad reviews. I think those people are clueless and don’t ask the questions they need to ask. Disney is always amazing with allergies. They have dedicated kitchen areas, dedicated fryers, toasters, waffle makers, etc etc. The allergy items always come out marked. Between Ulu Cafe, Makahiki and the poolside food, there are MANY options for celiacs. In my two stay I had Mickey waffles, mini muffins, dedicated fryer potatoes and eggs for breakfast, sausage, a fruit plate. Then for dinner I had an amazing steak and two types of salad. There’s flatbread options and gf burger buns! So so many and I never get sick!
March 2020: The staff at Disney Aulani were SO great with my gluten and peanut allergy!! Always made me feel safe eating and there were lots of options all around the resort!

I agree with the previous rating, we had high hopes because this was a Disney property. The best they could do was flatbreads and buns for burgers. We ate at Makahiki which had declicious GF cake but was really sparse on GF kids options, my daughter wound up having yet another flat bread. They actually brought out gluten pizza at first, but luckily, because this was our third GF flatbread we knew it wasn't right.

Not the Disney I know and love. Refused to go to the trouble of gluten free fries even though they have the option. So few options it is painful to stay here for more than a day or two. You will end up eating the same two things the entire time. I’ve always felt taken SO care of by Disney. Not here sadly.

Totally recommend for a Celiac vacation. Just about all of the food places can accommodate Celiac-level gluten free (as long as you tell them of your issues/ask them if they're Celiac-safe), and you can even get gluten free shaved ice inside. Score!

Are at several restaurants here and all were top notch in terms of dealing with celiacs and multiple food intolerances. The most relaxing vacation I have ever had since being diagnosed. Even my cocktails were vetted! Well done Disney!
The scrambled eggs and cranberry orange muffins are excellent.
