As of today, December 13, 2022, I phoned Aunt Chilada's in Tempe to ask if they could accommodate a "severe gluten allergy" (as most people have no idea what celiac disease is). They told me "no". So, these reviews saying the restaurant is celiac friendly are likely old. :-( (I noticed most were several years old, that's why I called).

Staff was very knowledgeable. We made a reservation ahead of time and noted that I had celiac (in a group of 6). They had GF chips on the table - labeled - when we got there and also got a refill when it was empty.

Server went over entire menu with me and let me know what was safe. She let the kitchen staff and chef know that my meal needed to be gluten free. All tasted great and was a huge portion!

Food was okay, very bland. Our waiter looked like he had other things on his mind. Didn’t get sick so that was a plus. I had two tacos and the corn.

This place is fantastic!

The food was amazing. I had tacos (corn tortillas), chips (peanut oil), black beans and rice. I told them I had a time constraint and they had me out the door in 20-30 minutes!

GF clearly marked on menu. Hostess all ready notified server of GF. Server brought GF chips. I asked of they were cooked in same oil, she said dedicated fryer...Bottom line, I had Mexican food and didn't get sick:-)

Amazing staff, very knowledgeable on allergens and cross contamination, and excellent service all around. They have a GF menu, and a separate fryer for GF chips! The owners daughter is celiac, so it’s definitely a safe (and delicious) place to eat!

I am so impressed with this restaurant! The gluten free menu clearly stated what was Celiac safe. As soon as I said that I have Celiac they made sure to get me chips that were safe and the salsa is delicious. I got chicken fajitas that were great. The service was top notch and they were great with my kids as well. They gave them toys, Oreo packages and were so kind to them. I am grateful for a Mexican place that seems so authentic and amazing food.

We had a wonderful meal at Aunt Chiladas! Staff was very knowledgeable about their gluten-free options. My celiac niece had the nachos with celiac-safe chips (available upon request). I had chicken street tacos and the suggested sweet corn (as a substitute for rice). Everything was fresh and delicious!

Staff made sure everything was safe and checked with chef on any questions. Menu is clearly distinct between gluten sensitive and celiac safe options. Great place.

Excellent meal! Ask for the gluten free menu. Quite a few options from their appetizers and entree menu that can be made gluten free. Don’t forget to ask for the gluten free chips for their guacamole!

Great place for us with celiac. They have a gluten-free menu which also indicates the items that may be gluten free but are not safe for people with the celiac disease. They have gluten free chips that are not fried and also brought two sets of salsa. Would definitely eat there again.
