We are so happy we decided to try something g different in Salina and have lunch at Auntie Rita’s Jamaican Cuisine. The jerk chicken with beans & rice and cabbage was a delicious huge portion for lunch, and we certainly didn’t leave hungry! The conversation with the owner, who has celiac, and his staff, was pleasant, and informative and positive about the recent changes in Salina. We definitely highly recommend Auntie Rita’s Jamaican Restaurant for safe and tasty food with many choices.

We came here today as options are limited driving across KS and I’m so glad we did. The food was amazing…they said anything could be gf except the fried items. I had the pork jerk with rice and cabbage. My whole family loved it. Everything felt safe and I would definitely return!

Just ask when you order what is gluten free. They told me what was fried or on bread, which is the only stuff I needed to avoid.
Delicious food! It was easy to order gluten free! I had the BBQ Jerk Chicken plate with rice and cabbage. YUMMY! (I am not celiac).

Unusual find to get Jamaican food while traveling through Kansas. The owner took our order. I asked if he could accommodate a gluten-allergy. He said his girlfriend is actually celiac, so he created all spices and most of his menu gluten-free. I had the jerk shrimp salad, which was fresh, spicy, and a large serving. Nothing fancy. Order at the counter. Table was not super-clean. Food felt safe. Will update if problems arise. Btw, the address is wrong in this app. Use Google to navigate.

We came in right before closing and they were super nice about it. Still had full menu available. Owners wife has celiac so very knowledgeable. All seasonings are GF. Fried items aren’t safe but everything else is. Everything we had was delicious. The kids even liked it and they are picky. Highly recommend.

Very friendly staff and answered all my questions about gluten. I ordered the curried goat with cabbage on the side. The chef said the only thing to avoid was fried foods. I hope to come back again soon and try more things.
