Was SO sick after eating here.
I have CD and stay away from Pizza places because I feel that there is such a high risk of CC because off flour in the air. I was in the area and saw the other reviews and decided to try it. I had a gf pizza and artichoke dip. Both were yummy and 12 hours latter. ..no reaction!!
I️ ordered a gluten free pizza with green peppers & mushrooms and a side salad with fresh spinach and mushrooms and the house Italian dressing (GF) on the side. I️ did inform our server that I️ had celiac and was assured the chef would take precautions. There is a disclaimer on the menu that their pizza crust is gluten free but that they cannot guarantee against cross contamination. I️ should have followed my initial instincts and just ordered the salad. Within an hour after eating the pizza I was really sick. Been sick for 2 days. Celiacs and gluten sensitive people be wary. Gave them two stars for good service and because the food was tasty even though it made me sick.
The sausage was good, but the crust was OK. Not bad but nothing to write home about. Our service was also exceptionally slow even though they were not busy. I waited a good 20 minutes to try to get another drink and ultimately just gave up. Also, this was really expensive for pizza. Two dollars for each additional topping?? It was an additional six bucks to just get sausage mushroom onion? Seems gratuitous for a small pizza.
This place was recommended to me by a fellow celiac, the owner at THIS location has actually set up a complete separate preparation area for GF foods. The pizza is amazing, So is the spin dip! Ive tried a few other things too, without issues. The one time I did have a reaction I came in and sat down. So I recommend getting food Togo, as out of the 100x I’ve gotten Togo I’ve never had a problem. Staff is super friendly too. Never had a bad service experience.
I love Aurelio's. By far the best gluten free pizza I've ever had. I always look forward to eating there with friends when I'm in town. Their bar selection is great as well. I had one terrible experience here that was service related, but I'm writing in hoping that it was a fluke.
I got a gluten free pizza for takeout - my goodness is it huge. The flavor was awesome and I really appreciate how accommodating they are for us gluten free folk but I got a stomachache almost immediately after eating it. I have a sensitivity (not Celiac) and usually small/trace amounts don't bother me, but for some reason this pizza did. I've had all the toppings I ordered before but it's possible I just had a reaction to something else in the crust (grains). I'm not sure if a lower review is deserved or not, which is why I only knocked off one star. Up to your interpretation!
The pizza is a great fluffy crust with crispy edges. It had a subtle buttery flavor and reminds me of a homemade soft pretzel dough. this place uses real cheese, and lots of it! highly recommend. price is about $15 for small two topping. definitely will go again.
I've always had great experiences here- but you do want to let them know if you have Celiac, as they go the extra mile to avoid cross contamination. Great friendly staff too! The crust is FANTASTIC, we now have gotten people to start ordering it without us just because they like it better!
Best GF pizza I have ever had! Real Chicago style pizza, and the only 9 inch pizza I have found that is substantial enough to feed 2. I always order extra cheese, and was pleasantly surprised that my carry out pizza was actually heavy with toppings! Best of all, I had no gluten reaction! Highly recommended!!
travelling cross country and found this FMGF app. nice family place, a bit off the beaten path from highway 90. a wed night 7p waited 45 minutes for salad and 2 6" GF pies. normally I would attribute to the GF but they were definitely busy with other folks waiting as well. the food was excellent ! just don't go if your in a hurry
we are new to the area and this was the first restaurant we ate at when we moved. Very knowledgeable staff. Use amazing precautions in the kitchen even so much that one of the managers has celiac disease and trains her staff on specific handling and prepping guidelines. I love the gf maggi bread!!
The food was awesome and the service was too. They took the time to ensure I knew that the owner is GF and insists on high standards and takes great care to guard against cross contamination. I was a little worried admittedly, but after the first bite I fell in love with pizza all over again. I They also have GF garlic bread/pizza bread, serve Woodchuck Cider if you are dining in, and are working on finding a pasta. Well worth it.
Recently went in with my aunt and uncle (not gf). When they ordered a salad, our server double-checked to make sure that I was not going to eat it because then they'd have to modify the salad (no croutons, etc.). The pizza was good, despite being a tad burned at the corners (square crusts from Kinnikinnick). My aunt insisted that I get two because they seemed so small according to the description on the menu. I was stuffed after one and took the second one home for lunch the next day! (And it reheated fairly well…)
