The servers are well-versed in what is gluten-free, what can be made gluten-free. They offer a gluten-free bread that is more of a flatbread but is absolutely delicious. Our server brought us two little bowls of oil for dipping to avoid cross contamination. I was going to get an entree but was so full from the bread! The crème brûlée for dessert has always been my favorite there and who knew?!?! Gluten-free!
Always loved Bacco before I became GF. Since then I’m unfortunately aware of how little on their menu I can actually have. While they have GF flatbread and pasta, not many other options are readily available other than being careful with the menu. Staff are helpful but just not as many options as I’d like!
I have eaten in the restaurant a few times and had great service. I’m not anaphylactic celiac but am very severe so I know immediately if I have been glutened. The few times I ordered in the restaurant, the servers were knowledgeable and were able to tell me what was GF. If you don’t know, they have a GF “kids” pizza that is a 10 inch GF pizza and is only $7!!!! AND ITS DELICIOUS!!
Based on my experience within the restaurant, I ordered the same thing I usually do but as takeout. I made sure they understood I have Celiac and checked with the server when I picked it up that it was in fact GF. The instructions for it also said GF. I took one bite of that pizza and immediately regretted it. IT WAS NOT GLUTEN FREE!!! I suffered for an entire WEEK with severe bloating, nausea, pain, cramps - two weeks later and I’m still hurting 🤢 plus, when you carry out, they charge you an extra $3 for “open food”
So my point of this review, ONLY eat in the restaurant as I don’t think the carry out staff paid attention to what I actually ordered. It will be some time before I go back as I’m afraid I’ll be glutened again. Beware of this!!
Fantastic food and service. They have GF pasta and flatbread. Most pasta dishes and flatbread items on the menu can accomodated to be GF. Waitstaff very aware. Would not hesitate to return.
