Backstage Buffet Restaurant

We visited Dollywood this week and most of the restaurants including this one were closed. The 2 sit down that have been reviewed at this site were 2 and 3 hour waits. There were no gluten-free offerings. There website doesn’t let you bring anything in except water.

This has now turned into Front Porch Cafe. They serve gluten free cheeseburgers and crinkle cut fries from a dedicated fryer.

I spoke to the Dollywood staff and they took a course on gluten free meal prep. The chef at this Resturant is the designer of the course. I had a hamburger on a gluten free bun with French fries. They prepare In a dedicated area and have separate utensils. Wonderful experience!

When visiting Dollywood with my family, I called ahead prior to our visit on gluten free options (for celiac) and ate here per their suggestions. The friendly staff was very knowledgeable about gluten free options and cross contamination. I ate the hamburger, which was the best I've probably ever eaten. It came with a gluten free bun and fries from a dedicated fryer. My wife order the pork skillet which was another option for me. She does not have celiac and order Mac n cheese with hers. The waiter brought her gluten items on the side so I could try hers as well. Our one year old daughter ate chicken tenders, Mac n cheese and grapes for free!! All in all, great experience!!
