I was in town on work - LOVED this place! This place is definitely a treat for the person that needs to eat gluten free. I had gluten-free fried artichokes, chicken bean dip and fresh fried tortilla chips, Blue cheese buffalo french fries, A Reese's ice cream shake, The Blakes flannel mouth cider I really enjoyed everything I had although I have to say the fried artichokes were the highlight of my night- you're really cannot go many places and get a batter fried item that is gluten-free so that was a real treat! To get the best service I would recommend sitting at the bar, Kassem Took care of me and he was really awesome- he definitely added to my experience being great!
just wish there were buns... but the fries are safe, menu is clear, and they know what they are doing!
I have celiac disease. I've eaten here twice with no reaction. I wish they had more options. I loved the deep fried artichokes, smoked Gouda/jalapeño dip, sloppy joe fries, sweet potato chips and nachos!
I previously gave this chain 5 stars, but not anymore. They have changed their menu and now they have supposedly brought back "old favorites" which ensures that their fryers are not dedicated. ☹️ Hamburgers AND fries were the reason I loved Bagger Dave's. I had to order a salad and it was just okay. Disappointed is an understatement. Crossing this restaurant off my list.
They have purposely eliminated Gluten Free options. Haven't they heard of a dedicated fryer for french fries? It would actually make the fries taste better. Even a non-Celiac would like to have fries that taste like fries and not fish. Fries, Fish and Chicken cook at different temperatures and breakdown the grease differently. A small change would have kept them Celiac friendly - separate fryer for french fries.
We used to eat here all the time, but haven’t been here for a while. It was really disappointing to find out that GF fries and sweet potato chips are no longer available. Those two items made the bun-less hamburger tolerable. My hamburger patty sitting on a bed of lettuce was an unimpressive meal. The cheese tasted and appeared to be a highly processed cheese square that could have been wrapped in plastic, there were two thinly sliced tomato slices, and three pickle slices. The burger was also super greasy. With better GF options in the area, I doubt we’ll eat here again.
I've previously given this chain 5 stars because they had so many GF options. Just last night we discovered they added battered fish to their menu that shares the same fryer as the GF options so this is NO LONGER GF. Extremely disappointed because now the options are so few (basically salad & a burger with no bun). I'm very disappointed because I've referred so many friends here that have celiac disease. Our options are so limited already & when a chain makes decisions like this the impact is huge.
The menu has changed, nothing is actually gluten free anymore! They fry their french fries in the same oil as their breaded fish! And that includes their chips for the nachos too. Got this info directly from the waitress tonight. I had heard how wonderful the fries were and so looked forward to them and was really disappointed that they changed things so wanted to share this so people are informed
We have been 3 times. My 3 year old celiac daughter can have GF fries but not much else. 2 out of 3 times she was fine. But the last time she was doubled over in pain for a day. Although the fries are GF, there may have been some cross contamination.
We've eaten here several times ! The food is "safe" I've not been sick here !! I typically order the burgers in a basket no bun extra lettuce ! The fries are good ! And the gf beer didn't make me sick and I'm super sensitive !! The waitress were a uninformed but willing to Learn about celiac ! I will continue to eat here !! I've even had take out with no problems !!
I also have an onion allergy so I haven't been sure if it's onion or gluten. However, Every time I have gone to bagger dave's I've had some type of cross contamination. My husband also just had an incident of severe food poisoning from the chicken sandwich served to him at this bagger daves.
Fantastic find! All grills and fryers are gluten free! GF items are clearly marked on menu and lots of GF options. Homemade GF sodas (no traditional soda) are delicious and there are lots of appetizer choices too! Manager and staff are super knowledgeable about GF. Would definitely recommend!
First time at Baggar Daves and Loved it! Loved that the GF items were marked on the menu. There were lots of choices. I built my own turkey burger on a bed of Romaine lettuce. Amazing! Fries were good too! A little pricey but for a nice meal once in awhile...it was worth it!
Gluten friendly place with lots of options on the menu, but no GF buns. I had both the fries and sweet potato chips. I had my own bread so I built my own sandwich and they had no problem with me using my own GF bread. Non-Celiac husband enjoyed building his own burger. The majority of the dipping sauces are GF, too. We'll be back again.
After having eaten here a few time with no problems I thought it was a safe place for me to eat. Should have know this time would be a problem when I asked for a GF menu and our waitress told me everything on the menu was GF. She did finally bring me one after I said well you do have GF menus. I ordered what I have ordered before but I got so sick. So I figured it was cross contamination. I contribute it to our waitress not taking GF serious.
The menu has changed recently and is no longer very gluten free friendly
