this was the best sushi place i have been too! their food is delicious and everything is gluten free except two things on the menu, even the tempura is gluten free!! i would totally recommend this if you are a seafood and sushi lover!! it is not a very big place so not the best for large groups but otherwise a 10/10 experience ◡̈
Best sushi in PDX! I love this location because it’s so cute on the inside. We love Matt the server—he is great! Almost everything on the menu is GF, and they actually mark what contains gluten in it. They only have tamari (no soy sauce) which I appreciate. For drinks I love the Daisy Jones Locker. For food I recommend the crispy rice and the unicorn role. This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Portland.
I’ve been to this Bamboo location, the one on 28th and even one in Seattle. All are great and have a plethora of gluten-free options (really, just one or two things aren’t). The Alberta location has a more intimate vibe, and I’ve loved sitting at the bar there. Highly recommend!
One of my favorite places to eat GF 🩷 The only gluten they have there is the bun on the burger - they only have tamari sauce no soy sauce used. AMAZING. Couldn’t recommend more 🍣🧡

Been to 2 other locations, but this ones my new favorite because location and atmosphere. Never had an issue, however one of the servers gets a little annoyed when you ask for a Celiac flag on your food. I usually ask another staff member and they're happy to add it for my comfort. I'm unsure if if that server still works there. I haven't seen him for a while. I'd say 98% of the menu is gluten free at the moment, but I have seen it change once in 2 years. Currently only one piece of sushi has gluten which they said comes in a sauce packet and the burger buns, but I've been 10+ times and never seen someone order a burger.
They recently changed their menu so that everything is gluten free unless indicated. No regular soy sauce, only tamari at tables. Tempura is also all gf now. I think pretty much all the food is gluten free except for buns and burger. Also it’s really good sushi. One million stars!
All their menu is gluten free except for two items (burgers made with the bun & one fish dish due to the sauce), but they only use gluten free soy sauce and gluten free tempura! We tried their unicorn roll, tempura shrimp, fried rice, crab roll & one sashimi and the roll & tempura shrimp were our absolute faves. The roll was one of the best sushi rolls we’ve ever had & the tempura was super light around the juicy shrimp. Pricy but 1000% worth it!
