I had a really positive experience here, and when I asked about gf ramen, she server brought out the gf menu and confirmed if I was celiac! The options are limited, but I loved the flavourful dish and will return to try the other ramen and mains.
I wish they offered more substantial gf noodles in their ramen, even if I’d have to pay extra for them. But, it the whole experience was excellent and the food was great!

Small restaurant with two main GF options. Both bowls. Bao buns are good for your non-GF eaters.

Fabulous restaurant in Victoria! My 10 year old daughter who is celiac, ordered ramen off the gf menu which they made less spicy and added pork belly along with the vermicelli. It was amazing! The rest of the non-gf food was incredible too and we gobbled it up. The friendly staff was helpful and knowledgeable about celiac disease. We were well taken care of. Definitely a highlight of our stay in BC!

I've eaten here many times and never had an issue. They've always given me the impression that they understand celiac and cross-contamination issues. I always order the Mei Fun, which is delicious.

I had the Mei Fun ($17)- vermicelli bean thread noodles wok fried in curry spices with gai lan, soy egg, fried tofu, egg, fresh cilantro, and scallions. It was solidly good, but a bit of a single flavor note as the gai lan overpowered the other flavors.
I have celiac and I am quite sensitive to cross contamination. I had a good experience at Bao.

Knowledgeable staff, limited options (only 3) but delicious and safe. I had the Tan Tan Men Raman substituted pork belly and prawns instead of the ground pork since the server let me know that the ground pork was not gluten free. Yum!

Three options were clearly marked on the menu and they understood when I said celiac and acknowledged it sharing the options. Great flavor and spice for some noodles that Celiacs cannot usually eat!

Chef has celiac. They even separated the celiac safe portion of our takeout meal from the rest with a cardboard divider in the bag. Ramen is GF, buns are not.

Great ramen and other Asian street food dishes available gluten free! When I mentioned celiac disease the staff person immediately mentioned that one of the chefs is also a celiac and she pointed me to all of the dishes that could be made celiac safe. The food was great! Highly recommend!
