One mention of celiac and they created a gluten free menu for me, including noting what can be made in a GF fryer!

The staff will mark all the non GF items on the menu. They are very conscientious. We split many tapa dishes and a large meat dish. Food was excellent but portions were smaller.

I ate Patatas Bravas (potatoes fried in dedicated gf fryer), Chirozo w/Sweet & Sour Figs, and Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp). They were all so delicious! The person who helped me (seemed like the owner or manager) has an egg allergy himself so he gets it. The food was amazing and I highly recommend! Also they were open on Sunday for brunch (open at 11 am), otherwise they usually don’t open until 4 pm. Right next door to Omni hotel. So happy I tried this place!! These were all tapas and 3 were more than plenty for me. They also have Paella which they said takes 45 minutes to prepare. When you arrive they will mark up a menu and let you know what’s safe for you based on all of your allergies.

My experience at this establishment was hands down the best experience I have ever had at a restaurant after being diagnosed with celiac. Not only were they easy to work with, but the manager and my waiter took a menu and made it custom for me and my needs with everything that I could or couldn’t order. It was ABOVE AND BEYOND, I felt safe, not to mention the food was delicious. Thank you for making my experience so greAt!!

One of my favorite restaurants! Visited during a trip to Yale after I’d just gotten back from Spain and it was phenomenal! The staff was the friendliest and the food was delicious! Definitely a must-visit place! I’m a very sensitive Celiac and didn’t get sick!

This is my favorite place in New Haven. I am celiac and eat here almost once a week. They mark up a menu for you and understand cross contamination issues. I always feel safe eating here. Tons of options.

Staff was extremely accommodating. The manager marked up a copy of the daily menu to indicate gluten free options. She was careful to exclude the items made using a shared fryer. Fantastic accommodations and the food was great too.

Wait staff highlighted a menu of gluten free items!!! Awesome
Excellent food. The waitress marked up a menu to indicate gluten free items.

Great stuff. Full restaurant on a Wednesday night, so I sat at the bar. The bartenders asked the chef to mark up a menu with GF options, and there were at least a dozen tapas, a few salads, and more. Great service and delicious food.
No
No gf menu, but lots of gf options. Request for waiter Josh- he really knows gf food safety!
I became a Barcelona regular after attending my company holiday party here in 2013. Since then, I've been here easily 20 times over the past year, and have never once had an issue with GF. The majority of the items on the menu are naturally gluten free, and the ones that aren't do not pose an issue for cross contamination. The staff is generally speaking very knowledgeable about the menu, and if the waitperson does not know, they ALWAYS have asked the chef. GF considerations aside, the food and service are consistently excellent here, and while there is always a core set of staples on the menu, every week there are new specials and creations, none of which have ever disappointed. Can't recommend Barcelona enough.

No gluten free menu, but tons of gf options!
Great service - marked GF items on menu. Cognizant of cross contamination. And wonderful food.
One thing - they have a beer on their menu marked gluten free, it's actually a gluten reduced beer so it's not.

Came here with a large party to celebrate my birthday. Waiter was extremely kind and verified gluten free items with the chef including making necessary modifications (baking rather than frying, etc) so I could enjoy my birthday. Definitely will be back!

We had a really nice meal, the server took the time to mark up our menu of what was GF and what could be made GF. was very excited to eat here again as the previous time we had a great experience too. Unfortunately I was so sick the next day. My partner is not celiac and was not sick the next day so I’m fairly confident it was because I got glutened. I’m not sure what happened or if there was a slip up with a dish not being rung in as GF. The first time we ate here the dishes had allergy labeled toothpicks, this time there were no markers. Possible cause of my sickness? I felt like I checked and double checked with the server so many times through out the meal. Not sure if I feel safe coming back.

I will say, the staff was very helpful in telling me what was GF/not but I wound up very sick the minute I got home. Sadly… I can’t say that this was a good experience for me even though the food tasted great. I was glutened.
