On my second order of baked goods and while the fudge frosting was more like actual fudge on the inside my guests loved it. The second, a red velvet cake. OMG to die for. Perfect on sweet and the cake was incredibly moist!! Bought the rainbow cookies and accidentally ordered too many but too shy to say and glad I didn’t!! They were so scrumptious we couldn’t stop eating them! Cake balls a delight! Highly recommend
Donuts and bagels were really good. Highly recommend the cafe.
a lot of dairy free and Vegan options. I had a roll with bacon and egg, it was very very good besides the fact that I'm 99% sure they didn't use fresh eggs(my guess is powdered) and I also got some banana bread (dairy free) but it tastes like they forgot to put banana in it and is rather dry. the lack of products they had in store was disappointing I came in and they had some premade breads, cakes and a few vegan cupcakes but no donuts and almost no bagles (which are on the menu) maybe it was just the time of day I came in or something. the staff was very blegh. seemed like they didn't want to be at work today..didn't really make me want to come back again.
Get. The. Bagel!!! I got my sandwich on bread. my husband got his on a bagel. I had regret lol. The kids each had sweet treats. All were super yummy!!
Have had several of the bakery items and they've all been delicious. Recently had bacon egg and cheese sandwiches with my teenage not-gluten-free goddaughter and we both loved them.
Amazing! Best gf bagel I've ever had!
So disappointed to travel all the way to the bakery only to find out they use soy in EVERYTHING! I have never ever seen this before at any gluten free bakery since so many people with gluten allergies have soy allergies! Why couldn't they use rice milk or almond milk in some products so that everyone can enjoy their food! So sad and disappointed and will definitely not be back
100% gluten & nut free. The baked goods and bagels are excellent. And well priced. Definitely recommend to anyone, even non-gluten free peeps!
My family & I visited after a colleague with tree nut allergies recommended it a while back. Thought through this review, & after a few days of pondering, felt the need to write. The concept to prove 100% wholesome Gluten Free food was both enticing, and encouraging. My daughter, with severe nut allergies, & I, with Hashi's Disease are always anxy when eating out. The upside: it's become an adventure finding restaurants we can both enjoy &while not sickened by what we eat. So, we took the 40 minutes road trip on Father's Day. Here's the review: My chicken w/ cheddar desperately need sauce. I asked for mustard sauce, which salvaged the tastelessness as well (Chipotle sauce was a little too subtle). Pizza should be flat. Our family was about done with our paninis when my daughter received a thick, burnt pizza. She's a trooper... Ate the melted mozzarella cheese on top & called it a day. The ceasar salads were decently sizes,, but are best with grilled chicken strips, rather than what appeared to be chunks of lunchmeat. The Rainbow cookie (cake) was good, cause it tasted like a rainbow cookie, & wasn't dry. Can't say the same for my daughter's cupcake. With all this said, again thank you for the concept. Work on technique, & I believe your beautiful café ambiance will be an even bigger hit in the heart of Long Island.
This place was just awesome! It was so wonderful to tell my Celiac kids they can eat anything they want! We need more gluten free businesses like this around! We will be back!
Fantastic food! Moist and not heavy! Great atmosphere and friendly employees!!! Highly recommended!!!
Awesome selection. All gluten free. Highly recommend.
Come here all the time. Never disappoints
Pleasant staff serving food that tastes good :)
Gross....Gross...Gross!! They don't even deserve the 1 star.
PRICEY and LACKLUSTER CUSTOMER SERVICE from a manager?? -- which is everything when food is so overpriced!!! I have to say, Everything we ordered tasted pretty good -- turkey sandwich and "vegan Delish" each on everything bagels, and lastly a blueberry muffin which my son absolutely loved!! BUT..... And there's a big BUT -- lady at the counter which happened to be the mgr charged me $2 extra on top of the already overpriced sandwich just for having one of my sandwiches on a bagel. On top of that, they didn't have any vegan cheese available for any of 15-20 vegan items on the VEGAN menu??!!! Also, she forgot to give me my $29 (for 2 sandwiches and a muffin) receipt ... Tsk tsk!!! I would have to agree with other reviewers that the lady at the counter is umm... Not so customer friendly --- in any case, called and asked about the overcharge as well as the lack of vegan cheese in my $14 sandwich and mgr admitted the overcharge was a mistake and that she would refund me for the entire sandwich. Thank you 'bare naked cafe' .. However I will not be returning as a repeat customer... First impression kinda sucked ... Such a shame cuz food was good!! Pls hire customer friendly (more on top of it) employees to be the face of your business!!!!!
So happy to have found this place! It's a gift to eat somewhere and know you won't get sick. And it's yummy!
Stopped here. Daughter has been dying for a real bagel. We split the everything. It was roll like but she was happy to have something. My son tried the Chocolate chip cookie which was yummy as well. 11 am in the morning and not as many choices as I would have liked.
I give 4 stars for the food but they need to have more help ...way too long of a wait most of the time....and the older blonde lady is so nasty to the customers.
Terrible bakery for gluten free vegan options. The cupcake I bought was frozen, tiny, more icing than cake, dry, and it looked amature-ish. The sandwich I bought was overpriced, barely cooked, sub par ingredients, and had no taste. Don't offer vegan options if you don't care about quality!
Finally got there. They had about an hour left till closing so slim pickings. So a loaf of "mock" rye bread. Kinda a pricy so I asked if I could taste before purchasing. Zachary said absolutely. It was delish! Needless to say I will be going back. They do ship for those who aren't able to go.
Regular Customer Good food and local, However, the service is Beyond slow. Never enough counter help. Only stop in if you have 10 minutes to wait!
Their stuff is good and their variety and hours are good. The last time I went about a month ago, the staff was friendly. However I have gone many times over the years and have not been happy with the staff. There is one woman with blonde hair (who might be the owner) who I especially found unfriendly. I understand being busy, but customer service is extremely important in a business like this.
finally made it here!! best bagel ever !!!
I love this place I go there all the time! I mean you can get breakfast, lunch , and deserts there it's the best . But the only problem is that it's a little bit expensive. The people that work there are very friendly and helpful.
have only ate sweets at the bakery
I've been a couple times. I've had breakfast and lunch here. For breakfast I had an egg sandwich on a bagel. absolutely delicious! Best GF bagel I've ever had! for lunch I've tried a panini and a salad which were both amazing! There are many options, friendly staff, and 100% dedicated GF business. What more could a celiac ask for?!
Great lunch menu for GF!!
Amazing food. Had my first cannoli ever. The muffins are amazing, they also have sprinkles wish I lived closer to this place. If you are nearby it I suggest you go to it.👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👌🏻
AMAZING everything bagels. By far the best I've ever had. Also had a cannoli (my first ever) and it definitely didn't disappoint!
Amazing gluten free bagels and cookies!! Best place I've found in the 2 months I've been gluten free!
staff was annoyed that I was asking about ingredients, but if you are catering to people who may have allergies or celiac then deal with it and answer the questions. rice flour is used to make the bagels. when I mentioned that I technically needed to be grain free I get an annoyed "well how else are you supposed to make bagels?!?!". the only good thing about this place is that it made me figure out that apparently I'm allergic to white rice as everything in this place made me horribly sick.
I don't understand the negative comments. The place is not only clean, but ADORABLE. Cute signs and displays everywhere. Every employee I've met has been a doll. And, most importantly, the food is fantastic. I love that it caters to me both as someone with a gluten intolerance AND a vegetarian (I can even go vegan when I'm there, since there is an extensive vegan menu). I've gotten sandwiches, burgers, and their cookies: all great. My favorite is the chipotle mayo veggie burger which, by the way, has a REAL veggie burger. Not some gross Boca stuff. There are peas etc. inside. So gooooood. TL;DR: Go there. It's amazing.
Very friendly people & 100% gluten free
Their bagels are amazing. It was awesome to just walk into a place and order a delicious panini sandwich from all ingredients I can eat. Although we live in Massachusetts, now whenever we are in the area, we make sure to stop by and stock up before heading north.
Love the food and the staff. Catherine is fantastic and always remembers me when I come in. I stock up on frozen bagels every time I go. Their best bakery item is the cannoli - it's AMAZEBALLS. For breakfast, can't beat the bacon, egg, and cheese on a roll.
I'm so disappointed at the service there. I was excited to go expecting friendly service but the lady was rude and seemed annoyed. It was my first time there and certainly my last! And it wasn't clean either. There's a wanted sign there so please anybody with a positive attitude apply to brighten up the place!
Great donuts and great staff. Love this place!
Everything is gluten free. Enjoyed an awesome GF grilled cheese with three different cheeses and bacon. Delicious!!
great selection! very helpful and even provided full ingredient list as well. best gf bagel I've ever had, and they even have gf canolis! I would recommend for breakfast and I plan to go back to try their lunch options.
I love this place. The food is delicious and everything is amazing. I will eat here as long as I live in New York.
It used to be so deelish but now the meat in their paninis are so fake I wouldn't even feed it to my dogs or any other animal for that matter. The bread is hard as a rock and their customer service skills are very very poor to say the least...will never recommend this.
Okay, so it used to be delish. I went back there after about a year, there bread is salty and vinegary, the meat is gross tasting, Everything just tastes old. The place is constantly dirty. I used to love this place but it became a dive. The only thing I like is the cinnamon raisin bread and muffins. They need to change up the ENTIRE MENU. But I'm gunna stick with Jacs Bakery. It's 100% better.
Unbelievable! I cried when I saw the options! I wanted to try everything on the menu. Took a bunch of stuff home and everthing froze really well. I love it here... Just wish it was closer.
The penini was ok. But I was disappointed it seemed ran down and the grills looked like they hadn't been properly cleaned in a while. The desserts and baked good were not covered and so around dinner time everything was dried out. Plus the front door was open which dried things out worse. The employee didn't seem to know anything about the products or even cared to be there. They are hiring and I was interested in applying until I saw the place and tried the food. Maybe time for new management or something. Not recommended!
Not everything was a hit, but overall it is very good. Th pizza was better than most GF pizzas I have had. The cupcakes were great. The crumble was great. The cake we ordered however, TERRIBLE. It was absolutely over sweetened and had an odd flavor. The cake also was mushy in the middle. It was such a shock, that the cake was poor when the cupcakes were so great. It was almost as if they were made from a different recipe. The cake was too thick, like pound cake and overly sweet. While the cupcakes were light and delicious. After several visits I'm just confused. I also was super disappointed on several occasions at their lack of offerings. They often run out of things, so call ahead before you make the trip! A bakery with out cupcakes and rolls? Hmmm seems a bit odd. I know it's a small business and things are made fresh, but I've never been to a bakery which ran out of stuff so often. It was not a one time deal. Often they are completely out of what they sell.
Awful! I gave this place a second try after about 6 months.. Now I know why I didn't like it the first time.. Panini was soggy, chicken was tough and chewy. Dessert was too sweet and tasted gross.. Won't be back!
Baked goods and paninis are wonderful!
I tried the Pizza and Panini. The pizza wasn't that great, I've had much better gluten free pizza. The panini was good however, I ended up buying a loaf of the sandwich bread. Overall I would recommend this place considering the variety of goods they sell
The cinnamon crumble is to die for! Sugar cookies are also delicious!
