I have mixed feelings about this place. When I called them, I was told I could have their enchiladas. When I went there, they told me it has gluten. The server didn’t seem to be very knowledgeable but she kept going back to ask questions for me. I ended up getting chicken fajitas with corn tortillas. The food was okayish. Not the best Mexican food I’ve had. But at least I didn’t get sick. So I give them a 4/5.

The owner Derek is highly educated about Celiac Disease and the requirements. Asked lots of questions and every one was answered to my satisfaction. The white queso is delicious and the chips are too. And GF!! He tells you exactly what to get. Make sure to ask for him. Christi is also excellent and has incredible table side manner. Thank you Barrerra’s

If you ever visit Barrera’s try the nachos and ask to speck to Derek, ( the owner) he can tell you what’s gluten free. It’s very good and he’s very helpful 👍🏼
We have visited Barrera’s twice and liked it! Derek is the owner and will help you with what’s gluten free on the menu ! We had the chicken Fajitas nachos and they were excellent! I’m sure we’ll be back 👍🏼

New owners. Derek was very good and understood Celiac risk. Avoid most sauces (queso, salsa are OK though!) and anything fried. Ground beef also has flour to avoid sticking. Beef Fajita tacos (soft corn tortillas), beans and rice, and spinach enchiladas (sub queso instead of SC sauce) with no reactions. Great to have an option in the area.
