This place is amazing! The food is delicious and it has a lovely atmosphere. I really would give it a 5 star on any other site. But, this is a review on a Gluten free site and to be honest there was a possibility of a mishap, if we were not as persistent as we were, about the food brought to the table. My daughter is the one with Celiac and she also has an egg allergy. They had multiple choices for her which was fantastic. We never go out to eat because of cross-contamination, but I felt safe trying this place because they really only had three items on the menu that could possibly contaminate her food. The waitress was amazing and very knowledgeable. Unfortunately, since it was our first time there we didn't realize it was family style ordering. When the food was brought out by someone other than our server we had to ask her multiple times which was the Celiac egg free dishes. She was nonchalant about it which bothered me. So, we gave my daughter the food the server handed to us for her. I went with my gut and told my daughter to wait a minute and we would find out for sure from our waitress if it was safe. The waitress pulled it up quickly and the manager came out with our daughter's food. Nobody had mentioned that the manager would deliver her food. As with any other restaurant you have to really watch out. But like I said earlier this is a gluten-free site and I'm writing it as a gluten-free review. We will definitely go back again sometime, but having that extra bit of knowledge really does help.
The staff and general manger were excellent. The food is fresh and delicious. Price is excellent for the portions. Make sure you get the street corn fritters. Everything is gluten free except desserts. I would not take small children. No regrets at all and I’m pretty picky. I will be back!!
Not helpful with gluten free options. Disappointing taco’s, very small with little filling. The side of brown rice was clumpy. Sat at the bar and the Bar tender was on his phone more than serving the customers. Gave it three stars for the atmosphere. Not worth the trip.
So many gluten free options that they actually mark what is NOT gluten free on the menu (only 5 items 4 are desserts). Shared 3 appetizers plantains in a dedicated fryer, pork tamale, and blistered shishitos for tacos we shared Baja fish in a dedicated fryer, falafel, pork belly, rock shrimp, and Portobello mushroom. We also shared grillled street corn, and didn't have room for our ahi tuna rice bowl so we took that home. They have 1 dessert option spiced chocolate pudding. I have not 1 complaint. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable to cross contamination. Will be eating here again in the near future
Amazing! I have Celiac and am rarely able to eat out. I had no issues eating here. Great atmosphere, not too busy,l. I was told that everything on the menu is gluten free except for one soup and some desserts. All the tacos, sauces, chips and fryers are gluten free. Their tacos are a smaller, tapas style size where you order by the taco. All the flavors I tried were awesome and best of all, I felt great afterwards, never got sick! I will definitely be back when I come back in town.
The food was delicious and majority of menu naturally gluten free! Tacos are smaller scale and made with corn tortillas. I’ve been many times and always great. Dedicated fryer...make sure you inform them of allergies. They put a butter spray on chips....make sure you let them know if you cannot tolerate and they will eliminate that step.
We happened to walk by and decided to check out the menu. Turns out, they only mark the items that are NOT gluten free with an asterisk. I was told by 3 of the workers that 90% of the menu is naturally gluten free and that they will note it on the order as well. Because we had already eaten dinner, we didn't get a chance to try the tacos but I did order the Spiced Chocolate Pudding w/Hazelnut topping for desert and it was amaaaaaaazing. So far so good, excited to come back and try the rest of the menu! Oh and also, there drink menu looks awesome! 🍸😉
I ordered a GF meal. It was served with flour tortillas. Had to be sent back twice. Can’t be trusted.
They have a wide selection of gf foods, the staff is very knowledgeable of the menu, and the tacos and chips and salsa were very good.
Fantastic! Can’t wait to go back. Tacos were awesome. Great margaritas too :) I felt very safe and staff was receptive to my dietary needs.
Really disappointed to have to update our review that my daughter was severely glutened here. We still love this restaurant, but it isn’t safe for our Celiac daughter. Her reaction was severe enough to show that it was clearly not as simple as someone forgetting to change gloves. She has been screaming in pain and bleeding for days, there was a catastrophic error within their kitchen, and she is terrified. The manager was apologetic, but that won’t help my daughter for the next few weeks of suffering she will endure as we try our best to help her heal
The food is so good and fresh! No extra sour cream or other fixins unless you want it. Perfect for my husband and I who are gluten free and dairy free! The price wasn't too bad for the roasted duck bowl either!
SO GOOD! I have to eat here every time I’m at KOP! Fish tacos are great. Everything I’ve had has been delicious. Always feel fine (besides really full lol) afterward!
LOVE bartaco but celiacs beware: -They cook the corn tortillas on the same surface as flour so I always opt for lettuce wraps -They claim the mojo pork is cooked with gluten free beer HOWEVER it’s omission beer which is currently *crafted to removed gluten* so not 100% gf -chips currently fried in safe fryer but double check-may vary on the day I’ve eaten here several times and been fine and I’m extremely sensitive
Hands down one of the best restaurants in KOP. Incredible, fresh, affordable, and 90%+ of menu is gluten free. Staff seems very well trained regarding allergies.
Fantastic meal last night! Staff was very knowledgeable and menu was clearly marked with items containing gluten (instead of the other way around!). 90% of menu was gluten-free. Also had great cocktails made with fresh juices - nice bonus!
The menu has mostly GF items, so many things to choose from. Knowledgeable staff, although not the quickest, it is very busy for good reason. The rock shrimp tacos are AMAZING. Can have a great meal without much fear of getting sick.
Amazing place! Right outside the Macy’s at King of Prussia Mall. Very cautious of allergies and serves gluten free tacos. Each guest fills out their own order card and can specifically write their allergies and preferences! Great sit down place and bar.
Bartaco was wonderful! They have a separate fryer for their gluten free options and the waiter asked about allergies. My celiac kids ate the chips and salsa, fried corn fritters, chicken empanadas and a couple different tacos. Neither had any reactions and both want to return. Sadly, there are no gluten free deserts.
They are so knowledgeable about celiac and the food was amazing! We will be back and this restaurant is highly recommended...even the hostess knew about celiac!!
Love the tacos here, mostly all are naturally GF and very yummy!! Chips and guac, chopped salad, and mexican corn are also really good. love coming here in the summer but definitely gets crowded so come early!
Went here on Friday night and almost everything on the menu is GF! Tacos come out on GF corn tortillas unless Flour is specifically asked for. They serve everything family style so if someone orders a flour tortilla- make sure to request it comes out on a different plate. I also had the street corn which was also GF and very tasty!
My Celiac family has eaten here several times with no issues or concerns. Well-trained staff!
