Had the lobster corn off the cob and a shredded duck rice bowl and all food was delicious! I also did not have a negative reaction to the food and I am a highly sensitive celiac. I highly recommend trying.
Almost everything was gluten free. Delicious and amazing service. We were just visiting the area and went twice. We loved it so much and wish we had one near where we live.
Celiac safe! Took my boy here and he loved it. We got chips and guac, so many different tacos, and of course mojitos. The only items on the menu the waitress told us to avoid were quesadillas and the desserts (but said if he wanted a quesadilla they would make it with a corn tortilla!).
Stopped in for a quick lunch date and had a fantastic time! I’m a highly symptomatic celiac and was able to enjoy my full meal without any worries. I enjoyed the gazpacho to start which was delicious on a rather warm day sitting on their patio plus their small trio of dips with the corn tortillas. Then I had one each of the chicken verde, fried fish, and chorizo tacos. They were the perfect 2-3 bite size and DELICIOUS! My personal favorite was the chicken verde. I felt full without feeling any sort of bloat or issues, the server even made sure to double check about cross contamination and ensured us the only thing to worry about having gluten is the desserts & that those have their own dedicated fryer!! So cross contamination isn’t a worry. :) can’t wait to be back!
So good! I got the pistachio cauliflower tacos and fried plantains and had no reaction. It was so good that the next day I ordered takeout and got the pistachio cauliflower bowl which was equally amazing. Would like to see more vegan options from them in the future!
We visited here this past week for the first time, visiting from out of town. They were fantastic and most everything is gluten free. The few items that were not were explained to us very clearly. We’ll be stopping here again as we visit this area often.

They do a great job with offering a lot of gluten-free options. We got the falafel tacos and the verde chicken bowl. Both were tasty but a bit spicier than expected.
This is my new favorite restaurant. I think everything on their menu (other than desserts) are GF. We’re talking fried fish tacos, people. Fried avocado tacos (it was seasonal and I want it back). Fried butternut squash blossom was the new one I tried last time. The fish and pork belly tacos are (in my and my gluten eating husbands opinion) the best. The first time we went we ordered just about all the tacos on the menu. They are so great with allergies and you can easily mark and make notes in the app, but also cross contact isn’t really an issue since all the tacos are GF. Also the plantains I had last time were so so yummy. Just thinking about it makes me want to swing by for dinner…
Fabulous fabulous fabulous. Nearly the entire menu is already gluten free, except for the flour tortillas they use for quesadillas and, occasionally, some new menu items. Most of the tacos are served with GF corn tortillas. The baja (fried!) fish taco is one of the best tacos I’ve ever had anywhere. Pork belly tacos, pork belly bowl, guacamole, salsa verde, stewed beans, even their chips are all so delicious. They make a great margarita, but don’t skip the “Old Thymer” cocktail if you like a bourbon based drink - it is phenomenal. I’ve never been sick here and the food is delicious. Highly recommend. The highest recommendation.
Really good menu, super easy contactless ordering and all of their tacos are gluten free, with an added bonus of being delicious! Other gluten free options available as well, and they are very allergy friendly overall. Tacos are tiny so order between 3-5. Highly recommend.
Impressive approach - you order on your phone and can specify gluten allergy for every item you order plus the server said she would personally tell the kitchen as well. Only items on the menu that even have gluten are the quesadillas and the desserts.

Great tacos! All I've tried so far have been excellent, but the fish tacos are the best. I've eaten there several times and not gotten sick. The vast majority of the items are gluten-free. Highly recommend!
This is my “go to” restaurant! Almost 95% of menu is GF. Quite honestly they could eliminate the few items without having any significant impact on quality or options. I’ve eaten here 10+ occasions and have never been been gluttened. I’m very sensitive to contamination. The app for ordering allows you to mark every item with “gluten allergy.” One of the staff members informed me that the owner has celiacs disease. Perhaps why all the precautions. Oh yeah, best street tacos you will find in the area.

Had a wonderful experience eating here! Much of the menu is gf and their fryer is dedicated. Had the chips and guac, fish tacos, steak taco, and a margarita! All phenomenal. The manager made sure I was taken care of and was straightforward that the fryer did deep fry items with dairy, but my lactose intolerance is less of an issue than celiac. Extremely knowledgeable on how to handle allergens. I’ll be returning!
Ordered tacos and a mushroom bowl - The tacos had fried fish and oysters and safe for Celiacs. The food is delicious! The online ordering was easy and the food was ready quickly for even easier pickup. They asked about allergies for every chosen item, too. Highly recommend!

Great food and really good about marking gluten and other allergies. Overall just an incredible place. They have this system for ordering using an app, I don’t think it’s required but i like it.
So so good!! I never worry when I go here! I love the tacos too. I think only 1 taco (the carnitas) has gluten so make sure to ask but most items are gluten free. I get chips and guacamole (salsa is gluten free too) along with the pork tacos, duck tacos, and cauliflower. Amazing!!

Almost everything was GF. As my wife is the only GF person in the house being able to order the family platter of tacos and have the whole thing be GF was awesome. They also have an allergy matrix which is very easy to read and there only seemed to be deserts and kids items that had gluten. Curbside pickup in Reston was also seamless. The food was ready right at the estimated time of pickup from ordering online.
Great place, delicious food! However the fryers are NOT dedicated to gluten free foods. I had the baja fish tacos and was told they were gluten free. The batter coating is gluten free but the fryers are not because they also fry churros in therm so I had a reaction after eating them. Other than the fryers, they are celiac friendly and otherwise knowledgable about gluten containing food items!
Rather than marking what’s gluten free on the menu, they mark what isn’t, which makes sense considering almost the entire menu is gluten free. Great food, and plenty of choices.

Just ate here last night and had a fantastic meal. It was wonderful to eat at a restaurant where the gluten free (and dairy free) options outnumber the non-gluten free ones. We split a large order of guac and then I had about 3 1/2 tacos (shared one with my husband) and I was full. They're small bites, but filling. The only thing I didn't love was that a glass of wine cost $10. I would have liked to order a second glass, but there's no way I can justify spending that much. Overall, we were very happy with our meal and I felt fine this morning.
Lots of gluten free choices marked on the menu. They have a spot on their order card to list food allergies. Our waitress was knowledgeable and modified our order accordingly.
The food is so good and fresh! No extra sour cream or other fixins unless you want it. Perfect for my husband and I who are gluten free and dairy free! The price wasn't too bad for the roasted duck bowl either!

Bartaco is very Celiac-friendly! And the food is absolutely delicious. Most of the food items are naturally gluten free (there is an asterisk on the menu next to food that contains gluten) and the staff takes extra precautions if you tell them you have an allergy. It is wonderful to be able to eat almost anything from the menu.
Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free. Most things on the menu are GF, except for a fee that are clearly marked not gluten-free. I had to call someone over to confirm after I received the fish tacos since they were fried (I was expecting grilled/baked fish.) They were indeed GF— their tempura batter is rice based.

Just had dinner so it's a little early to tell if I have a reaction, but the staff made me feel really confident that they had things under control. Great menu, tons of GF (and dairy free) choices. Every allergy ticket is run up separately and under the manager's supervision. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fun atmosphere, reasonable prices. Dedicated fryer. All the tacos are GF!

Awesome tacos. Chef came out to explain fryers. They have 5 different fryers to prevent cross contamination. Awesome fish taco, sirloin taco and tuna poke.

Bar Taco is almost dedicated gluten free (couple of drawers and a kids item is not) and super safe for celiacs. Have eaten here and other locations many times without problem. Delicious food.
I went here twice in the past couple of days. Once I had a salad and chips and green salsa. The other time I had the chicken tortilla soup. Both were excellent. I appreciate the large variety of GF options at Bar Taco.

Had a great lunch here! Almost the entire menu is gluten free - they actually mark what HAS gluten vs what is without. I got esquites which was just okay but the tacos were great. Duck taco was delish, pork belly was amazing, and the brussel sprouts it taco was surprisingly my favorite!
Easiest location ever to dine with a gluten allergy. Highly recommend.
