Absolutely delicious! Came here with some friends for a fancy night out. Great server, informed us that the fryer was shared but they can make most items gluten free. GF items are also marked on the menu. We all split the shrimp scampi with bread in the side, lyonnaise salad with croutons held, and it was one of the best salads I ever had! I got the petite filet which was perfectly done. For dessert we split the strawberries and cream which also was one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life. It was a merengue with cherries and it was beautifully presented. Wonderful time here, didn’t get sick, left full and satisfied!

Wow!! What an amazing dinner! Read the recommendations from this app and had to check this place out. I highly recommend getting reservations through the app. Very cautious and well informed of allergens. My husband has a tree nut/peanut allergy and I have celiac. We had the shrimp cocktail, I got the filet and the mashed potatoes. Absolutely delicious! My daughter got the roasted chicken, which can be made gluten free and it was so good. I felt great after eating here and will definitely return.

We had such a fantastic dinner at Bavette's on New Year's Day! We've been trying to get a reservation there forever and now I understand why it's constantly booked. Our server Rich was an absolute gem and put me at ease, explaining the kitchen procedures and how seriously they take GF and allergens. They also informed me when I asked about desserts about potential points of cross contact.

We ordered the whole meal (except dessert) at once so it could be put in separately as an allergen ticket, which is checked by the manager. When each dish was brought out, they confirmed it was GF. Honestly, a lot of the menu is already labeled GF, so it helped knowing I hadn't requested anything special or modified. They even brought me house made chips to start while my boyfriend ate the regular table bread

We had the wedge salad, roasted chicken, brussel sprouts, and traditional filet. Then for dessert we had ice cream with hot fudge. Everything was beyond delicious and I didn't get sick! We're looking forward to another date night here.

Had a very nice meal here. Wanted steak frites but the waiter immediate clued in that the frites would be cross contaminated in the fryer. Instead got a big salad and a steak which were both excellent.

I had a lot of fun dining at Bavette’s. Much of the menu is gluten free or can be made gluten free, and all items were marked on the menu. IMO there are better steak houses in Chicago, but the ambiance is hard to beat!

Love Bavette's! Wonderful food! They always do a great job handling my dietary restrictions (gluten, dairy, vinegar/alcohol). They also have a dedicated fryer, so their fries are gluten free.

Any place where the server immediately asks if anyone in the party has any food allergies or dietary restrictions is an automatic win in my book. The whole menu is pretty much gluten free. It's not cheap but it is oh so delicious. I had the lamb chops- amazing! Classy atmosphere with great music. Feels like you are back in a 1920s speakeasy.
