I would absolutely go back here often if I lived in the area—was only visiting from out of town, but wow! Delicious food, caring staff; the waitress serving our table was not very knowledgeable about what was or was not gluten, but very eager to take my tips and questions/requests, and communicate with the kitchen staff on my behalf. Maybe not ideal for a newbie to the gluten free diet if it’s high stakes for you. There are items marked GF, but if I remember correctly, this means they at least *can be* made GF and so it’s important to ask the right questions.
This is an Asian restaurant I go to every week. They are the first authentic Asian restaurant I know of that offers a gluten free menu in OC, and their food tastes really good.
But you have to make sure their staff ordered the gluten free version for you since some of the dishes also on their regular menu but that is not gluten free. I got sick once because I ordered a dish from the GF menu that had a very small difference from their regular menu in that it didn't have tofu. This confused their staff, and then they asked me if tofu was okay, but they didn't know that their tofu was deep fried with other stuff that contain gluten. Other than that, they are great.
