While they said they could normally accommodate my allergies (wheat and nuts), they refused to serve me because the restaurant was busy and they were too busy. At least they told me, but we had already ordered and had to go somewhere else
Food is very good and staff knows about gluten free and cross contamination. A must if you are around.
On our way to the castle we stopped in for a late lunch. We loved the entire experience! Food was great! Server was awesome! No questions asked, we would recommend this place to everyone!!
Surprisingly good pizza for a chain. I don't think the crust was frozen or didn't taste like it which is a plus.
great gluten free pizza, pasta and even garlic cheese bread!!
We had a great experience & a fabulous lunch at Bella Italia, centrally located in the middle of the Royal Mile. Their menu has a green wheat leaf icon for dishes already gluten-free, and blue wheat leaf icons for dishes that can be made gluten-free. Very helpful. Our server was very knowledgeable and double checked who actually had an allergy (our son has Celiac). The gluten-free dishes came in different dishes from the others, which to me is a sign that they know what they are doing. I highly recommend this Celiac-friendly place less than 1/2 a mile from Edinburgh Castle.
The pizzas were great, but they can only do them gf in the 10 inch size. They also had delicious gf strawberry rhubarb cheesecake
Gluten free well marked on menu. Pizza was good. Lots of pasta options.
Gluten free menu and well trained staff, eaten here a number of times with no issue, good knowledge of cross contamination and great selection of options.
(I’ve never had the pasta or pizza so can’t personally verify if coeliac safe.)
