We stopped by at Bellagreen on our way to Houston and were simply amazed at how knowledgeable the staff is on food allergies. My celiac kiddo enjoyed Pulled Chicken Tacos, spicy shrimp pasta and the delicious carrot cake . Food is awesome and so is the ambience. No reaction afterwards and we even stopped by to eat here on our way back from Houston.
Great Experience!! I love it when as soon as you say Celiac they start telling you their precautions. I had the fish tacos which were excellent, dairy free also. Quite a few items that are dairy free also. Gluten free desserts but no dairy free. I didn’t need it anyway. Lol I’m writing just after eating so if there is no follow up it was safe. It certainly seems safe.
I come from NYC and this was THE BEST gluten free restaurant experience I’ve had in a very long time. Menu is clearly labeled. Fresh, healthy food. I started with the honey garlic cauliflower app and it was to DIE for. Having access to a gluten free fryer is so amazing. My non-GF friend also loved her food. Best part is there were TWO choices for GF dessert!! The carrot cake seems to be a staple, and it looks just like the real thing. I haven’t had such good carrot cake in a very long time. They also offered a seasonal strawberry shortcake cookie dessert and my one regret is I just couldn’t eat all the things. No room in the tummy. No question just go here. It’s counter service where you order and they bring to your table. They had outdoor seating under a fan which was delightful.
the cashier & workers were very kind and when I said I had celiac they knew just what it was and what to do. I never have had so many (truly) gluten free options at a restaurant before! And it was all so yummy! My family even liked what they had that was gluten free and they aren't GF. so yummy and wish I had one where I lived!
A must have every time I’m in there area. My non gf family loves it too! Staff is very knowledgeable and gf food is prepared in separate areas with dedicated fryers!
Went with my husband, who is not gluten free, and we both throughly enjoyed our meals. I got the Gluten Free Mac and Cheese and OMG…absolutely delicious! My husband got the Brick Chicken, also GF and it was really good as well and a full plate of food. I ate too much to get the seasonal GF caramel pumpkin cheesecake. Maybe tomorrow!
Large variety of items on menu that are GF or can be made GF. Menu clearly marked with GF symbols. Find was OUTSTANDING and the service was top notch. Manager was very friendly and pointed out GF items that were not even on the list. GF desserts? Pecan Pie, Carrot cake , key lime pie. This is a DO NOT MISS if you are GF or Celiac.
The food was delicious and they have a great GF menu. However, I became very sick after eating here.
So good! All the pasta is gluten free. There are a ton of options here. I had salmon tacos (seasonal). The tortillas were made with almond flour and parmesan. They were probably the best tacos I've ever had. Seriously. So good!
My daughter had spaghetti with turkey meatballs. She ate every drop. We told them she had an allergy (celiac) It came out with a card that said, "this dish has been prepared gluten free" but it does have a standard 'we do our best' disclaimer.
I've worked here so I witnessed the gluten free preparation, and for the past 4 years it has been my safe haven for food. Despite the review below, the fryer IS dedicated and the fries (sweet potato & normal) are 100% GF, as well as the fried fish tacos, etc. Nothing that is fried has gluten on it. However, the only thing I would watch out for is to double check your food once you get it, as sometimes they are careless or mess up - alike most places. It depends who is working. Not everyone is educated on what gluten is or knows what gluten free vs non-gf items look like. Just double check! Other than that, it really is wonderful and I feel so grateful to have it near me. The fish and shrimp tacos are to die for, along with the sweet potato fries and the gluten free carrot cake. I love their salads (specifically blackened shrimp or oh kale yeah). Such great food. I've never spent more of my money anywhere in my life. If you're gf, this opens you up to an entire world. It was such a joy to meet fellow celiacs and provide them with the joy of getting to eat safe, tasty food. The head chef who originally created these recipes is an absolute genius and worked/s extremely hard to accommodate everyone.
low touch quick order counter with a classy team
be sure to call out glutenfree requirements
fun menu , beer and wine selection
They definitely tried to make our meal gluten free but the key word there is tried. We're celiac and were so excited that there was a place that had some good reviews about watching cross contamination and being knowledgable about celiac disease. Unfortunately this was not the case. At least knew about their fryer not being dedicated so we couldn't have the fries, but they sent out only one of our sandwiches on a gluten free bun and when I took it back they just switched the patty to a different bun making it 100% not gluten free. We were very clear about being celiac and even tried to double check some of the ingredients and still got sick. For a place that prides themselves in having a wide gluten free selection I was beyond disappointed. We won't be going back.
My must stop location when we are in the woodlands. I have celiacs and have never experienced problems with their food. Quick service and extremely good food. It's always a delight to go to a restaurant where there are gluten free choices all over the menu. Their pancakes and pizza are my favorite (not together of course)
I have never seen a menu with such a great gluten free selection! I had the buffalo burger and the gluten free bun was the bestie had to date!!
Ruggles Green is reliable for safe, gluten free meals. It's unusual to have so many options on a menu that I'm overwhelmed by the choices at times! I'm grateful to have this restaurant in both The Woodlands and Houston, where celiac awareness still seems to be lagging far behind other places in the country.
Food was great. Had a turkey burger and Mac and cheese. All gluten free. And the gluten free carrot cake....no words.
I had a great experience here! The staff were very friendly and considerate. The restaurant is new and clean. A lot of gluten free items on the menu. The hempanadas and fried cauliflower are amazing! The pasta was good, but I felt like the noodles were overcooked. So excited to have another restaurant I can eat at!
This place is amazing. Two of us have celiac, and from the moment we entered the restaurant, we were greeted and reassured of the safe preparation of our food. When there was any question, a waitperson came to the table to ask our preferences and to guide us. The food was so good, we ordered again that evening and the next on our vacation. Jasmine was especially helpful. Lots of choices, and the staff understands cross-contamination. I wish they had more of these!
