Staff was very nice but told me they only offer things for gluten sensitivity. I have celiacs and had the shrimp risotto and seem to be okay. But there are not many options. Nothing is guaranteed since it is a shared kitchen. Would not recommend for those with celiacs.
I got a prosciutto pizza and it was delicious! I’m celiac and had no problems and 100% would love to have again
Never had a problem, and always order the sausage soup and salad. Waitstaff seems to understand gf.
Gluten free menu. Some staff are more knowledgeable than others.
I would not recommend an intolerance to gluten or a person with celiac to go here. The food never fails to get us sick even if you call ahead and specify that you have an allergy/ask to take special precautions.
I react to a lot of gluten free crusts, I have MCAS so I’m not celiac but I also can’t have tons of foods. I get the gluten free vegetable pizza without eggplant or olives a few times a week, it tastes amazing and I have no issues with it at all
Bertucci’s has been one of my favorite local restaurants and I’m satisfied with their gluten free options. After going GF I was worried I couldn’t eat there anymore but I’ve now tried two GF pasta dishes and their GF pizza and I will be back for more! I have not gotten sick yet and while I do not have Celiac, I am highly sensitive. Some previous reviews mention their lack of gluten free options - it sounds like they have made some real improvements over the years and should be given a shot. My only request is for them to come up with a gluten free version of their amazing dinner rolls! If there’s one thing I miss, it’s a basket of those rolls.
They now have more gluten sensitive menu options including cauliflower crust and breadsticks which are really good. I’m not sure if it’s celiac friendly but I would guess not.
Bertucci's has a "gluten sensitive" menu. I called ahead to ask what precautions they take for cooking pizza and the person I spoke with said that the chefs use frozen cauliflower crust and cook it on a clean sheet in the oven. They also use different utensils to dole out the sauce and cut the pizza. However, my actual waitress said the food is better for people who are sensitive and not celiac. I ate the pizza anyway and seemed to be fine, but I'm also not particularly sensitive to cross-contact. I would recommend calling ahead and asking your waiter/waitress lots of questions.
No GF options. They used to be my favorite restaurant (back in the good old days before gluten was my enemy - and before they changed their roll recipe to the garbage it is now). Sadly they suck now. Go somewhere else :(
Had a wonderful experience there a few months ago where the manager took care of me and everything as I would write a review for my blog. HOWEVER, after trying to order from there again, I was horrified to learn that they had no idea what the GF options were and were shocked when I asked for the cauliflower crust. Needless to say, I will not be going back there again and I am extremely disappointed
They redid their menu and have a gf menu now! I got a pizza with cauliflower crust. I asked them to make in a separate pan as well and they were very accommodating. Did not get sick and I am very sensitive!
They have a gluten sensitive menu but I have yet to be able to eat here without feeling sick unless I get just a plain house salad. Even then I still don’t feel great. I recommend you avoid.
Recently expanded their menu to now included GF cauliflower crust pizza. It’s pretty good. Well rounded Gf menu for a chain. There are plenty of salad options, a soup daily and multiple entrees. If I had to choose, I’d take Carraba’s (or any non-chain) over here any day, but if this is close it’s certainly doable.
Ordered the gluten free pizza. When I picked it up it was a wheat crust. They said they would remake it. I watched the pizza cook use tongs and pull the topping off the wheat crust and drop it on the gluten free crust. Had I not watched the I would have been glutened. Will not eat here again.
The location in Amherst was very good. They have a small menu with some good options : Chicken. Steak. Salmon. Eggplant. And a new cauliflower crust pizza that was very good ! The best part was dessert !!! Flourless chocolate cake !!
They are a disaster! We preferred online off the GF menu and arrived 40 minutes later when our order was supposed to be ready only to find out that they “didn’t have the ingredients to make GF pizza.” What’s the point of having a GF pizza menu if you aren’t going to make the GF dough. They didn’t even call to let us know they couldn’t make half of our order. They charged us upon pick up and then had to reverse all the charges bc they didn’t even know what they had made. Won’t go back again
They have a gluten free menu. I'm NCGS and was very concerned when some of the items had the words "gluten sensitive" next to them. However I had a cauliflower pizza which was delicious and the cloudless chocolate cake that was like fudge.
I ordered the chicken Marsala. It was good half way through finishing my plate I found a piece of pasta on it. I told them I needed gluten free when I ordered. The manager himself made me a new plate and took it off the bill. Just make sure to stress. Gluten free. We we notified a waitress that wasn’t ours and there were no questions asked she went yeah that’s not right and got her manger.
I am a vegetarian and have other allergies and the only option was a salad that wasn’t even that good. I don’t think I’m ever going back
Gluten free menu is kind of a joke. It’s about 5 items and it’s only the items they have on their regular menu that they can remove the gluten items from. No gluten free substitute to take its place. Mostly salads!
I ate half my eggplant dish, started to feel sick... and found a piece of pasta. Do not eat here if you need your meal to be gf safe, the menu says for gluten sensitive, but I wouldn't even rate it safe for that-if I could give them a zero, I would.
Horrible. Said on the phone they took Celiac seriously but when we got there they seemed surprised that we wanted GF. Limited options. My son is 11 and they were offering salmon as one of the only options. Pizza and pasta are their selling points. Didn't offer either and did little to accommodate. We had to stay for a variety of reasons. My son and I did not eat. Went to chipotle instead. Ugh. (Though we love chipotle).
Had no gluten free other than salad! Called multiple days to see if they actually had gf pasta like it's listed on the menu, but no! Do not reccomend!!
They have a 'Gluten-Sensitive' menu. Not large but a decent selection of non-pasta Italian dishes. Salads are great. No GFree pasta or pizza. Really good wine selection. Cider and spirits.
