I was thoroughly impressed with the staff at Best Thai. We were there from out of town eating with friends from the area. I am celiac and anaphylactic to soy. I called ahead and the woman researched what I could eat there and called me back. When we sat down at a table, it turned out she was our waitress and had complete notes from my call. I ordered with full confidence and was not gluten or soy contaminated. We will go back there the next time we come to the Dallas area to visit.
The staff is very knowledgeable! I’ve been going to this restaurant since before I was diagnosed with celiac disease, and they’ve always been the sweetest. Today was my first day going gluten free here, I normally order chicken fried rice. My usual waitress knows my order by heart, and she made sure that they cooked my meal without soy sauce and on a clean surface. My family also always gets egg rolls, and the waitress gave me a separate plate with a singular spring roll on it so I wouldn’t feel left out. So sweet!
The food was great! The chicken fried rice was a little less flavorful without the soy sauce, but still great and a very big portion! The spring roll I got was great too.
I must add though, that I don’t generally get sick if I have a little bit of cross contamination. I’m judging based on the waitress’ attitude and how dedicated she was to making sure my food was perfect for me.
Everything is clearly labeled on the menu as gluten-free made it very easy to order!
