I have had dinner here twice, and gluten-free items are clearly marked on the menu ranging from appetizers through dessert. It’s nice to be able to order a meal like a “normal person“ and not have to ask a million questions. Extremely accommodating, nice atmosphere and very nice staff.
Bibiz is my go to place to eat since I was diagnosed intolerant. I never have a reaction, and they are so incredibly understanding to the needs of anyone with a gluten issue. It's wonderful to be able to enjoy good food in a very warm atmosphere. They even go out of their way to bring gluten free bread to the table for me! Over Thanksgiving I was concerned about eating at my relative's house. Ida was kind enough to allow me to order the gluten free thanksgiving dinner they would be serving on thanksgiving day. The amount of food that it came with was insane! I had 4 meals worth! And it was a pleasure ordering from her!
We went here for my husband's birthday and had a few small plates to share. I was so thrilled to be eating spinach and artichoke dip again, and it was absolutely delicious! Need to try more dips next time. I also liked the grape leaves, the lamb meatballs were ok and the shrimp cocktail was "meh". But I'm thrilled to have a place in my list with so many options (even GF beer on the menu) and we had such a great time. Atmosphere is relaxed and intimate; even though there were several holiday parties going on we didn't even notice. Server was great, even asked if it was an allergy or preference (always a good sign imo).
Bibi'z was great! About half the menu is GF, spanning the adult and kids menus, with "GF" labeled clearly in red throughout. Wait staff is well-versed in cross contamination and brought out GF bread immediately after our order. The adults had the spinach and artichoke dip (with corn chips), scallops, short ribs, and flourless chocolate cake. All were excellent. Son had pizza and penne s la vodka- also excellent. Highly recommend!!!
I went to Bibi'z for a dinner date after seeing it on findmeglutenfree. Although I told the waitress about my gluten allergy, there were some miscommunications in the kitchen with my order and inconsistencies with handling the gluten allergy. They did not bring bread to our table as requested (good start). However, the spinach-artichoke dip was brought out with nothing (instead of the substitute for veggies) and the mussels were brought out with garlic bread laying on top. They were very understanding and re-made the dish for us and eventually brought out the veggies for dipping. The only thing they got right was the truffle french fries, which are made in a dedicated fryer. The food all tasted great, but the service was slow (the place was packed) and it obviously affected the carefulness or attention of the staff to my allergy. They do have gluten free desserts, however we were too full from dinner to try anything. We plan on going back for a lunch or brunch.
